Direct TV remotes have special instructions to "program"
various Television manufacturer's equipment into each of their units. Simply by inputting the appropriate codes the "TV"
Once PROGRAMMED they will operate the set and the "DIRECT" equipment together...
Typically some fine set "MENU" items will not be available... so it is wise the keep your REGULAR REMOTE around for those SPECIAL APPLICATIONS.
hi,
you need to have 3 pair of audio-in ports for that.
i think your sound system has 3 input ports.
ie,
1.tv in ->u can connect this to audio out of your tv
2: vcr in ->u can connect this to audio out port of vcr
3: aux in -> this can be connected to your TV Receiver
then you can use the soundsystem remote to switch between the source to listen one at a time.
pls come back if u have any thing more

You can try this: Connect your DirecTv to VCR with Red/White/Yellow cables. Then the VCR to your TV with the same type of cables. Make sure the VCR is set to the video input, not the tuner. Turn your TV to the correct video input. Get the program ready on the DVR as if you were going to watch it. Press record on the VCR and then play on the DVR. At the end of the program, press stop on both. You may have a problem with the video recording properly. Some stations broadcast with copyright protection.
Ya it does work with the codes given.. Just make sure you are close to the tv or product you are wanting to program -- other equipment can interfer ... hold search code button down until it stays on then press tv/sat or what ever u want to program then put in the code then power button, item should shut off-- if it doesn't work then try the next code for the brand of tv/sat/vcr u have.. here is the web site with the manual on it..3 different models of this remote just select the one u have from the list on the left. http://www.sentryindustries.com/category/remotes/remotes_rmc10.asp
If there is no coaxial cable input on VCR, then it should work by RCA cables. Which is the Yellow , red/white cables. On the back of the VCR. Take a set of RCA cables Yellow for video, red/white for audio to the VCR output. Then do the same to the Television input. Next use the television remote to turn the TV to Video input this will allow you to view what's playing on VCR. Then take another set of RCA cables and reverse the first setup. Attached Cables to VCR input and cables to TV Output. This will allow you record what's on television. Now make sure the cable is screwed to coaxial cable input on television. This will able you to access cable programming on television, view vhs tapes, and record programming directly from television.Good Luck
this is because you are recording a direct connection (what is on the screen is recorded) that is an option with some equipment.. unfortunately this means if there is nothing on the screen well you get nothing..
You need to record from the machines own built in tuner dont use direct record.. a vcr/pvr/dvdr after all remember is like a tv without a screen that can record it has its own channels to do this
1st setup ur VCD with TV and playback it to view on TV. If picture is coming, thats OK.
2nd plug ur camcorder in VCR input and select VCR input according to plug in and monitor the camcorder picture on TV through VCR. If its ok, now u r ready to record the picture from camcorder to VCR.
