I have forgotten network key for my NETGEAR DG834G router can you help me please.

1.There is no code to access the router but you will need what is called a WEP key or WPA key.
If you have forgotten your key you will have to reset the router to factory default and create another key.
3. Contact your provider to assist you with your initial setup then contact the manufacturer support of the router to walk you through the steps to reset the access key or go to the manufacturers site to get step by step instructions on this issue.

In order to check or change your password for NetGear , go to http://192.168.1.1. It will ask you for a user name and password. The default is “admin” and “password”, Once you are connected, go to Wireless Settings and you have the option to change password there.

Just connect the lan cable into router and access the router configuration page and reconfigure the wep key in router .but if you forget the router access code the reset the router and reconfigure the router.

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router .
Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable?
If not then connect 1 computer to the router and open the router set up page. Once you open the router set up page, you will be able to find the wireless network key.

try downloading wireless key viewer on a computer that has the key already in and working. It my be a long key as it is converted into a different format so you may need to copy into word accross a network or on a pen drive and then paste from it into the laptop you have forgotten the key for.

Please check out this Netgear page on how to set up WEP. It's much faster than if I had to explain it all.

You need a network cable (cat5e) to connect the cable modem to the wan or Internet port on the router. Then another network cable to connect the router port(1-4) to the computer's network (NIC) port. If you are going wireless, you do not need to connect the second cable.
You do not need a disk. just power down the cable modem,router and computer.
Hook it all up, then power up the cable modem first, wait 30 seconds, then power up the router, wait 30 seconds, then power up the computer. You shold be able to get online.
Unless: you are using DSL
and unless the original owner had an encryption key on the router.

Press and hold the reset buten for at least 30 seconds, this reset the router to factory default.
Then its just all over again, but do remember - by cabel, NOT wireless.

Press and hold the reset button on the back of the router for 10 seconds. That will reset the router back to factory defaults

Presuming your are meaning a WEP key (asked as network key in windows), you would find it by entering into your Modem's setup screen, selecting Wireless Settings, Wireless Security, and your key should be listed there
