Thanks for prompt reply, it did not work.
I tried another idea from your friend Mr Manjeet [wiz] on this forum, that was to install windows installer and remove it from there then retart the pc and reload the Adobe 9 and it worked. Many thanks for your prompt response. and special thanks to Mr Manjeet from India too. Keep up the good work. Shamsher. UK

Select [Start} then [CONTROL Panel] then select [add or remove programs] ..find ADOBE and select it, then choose REMOVE program.. that should remove that software correctly. Please get back to me if that fails to work for you..

Reinstalling Adobe AIR

You can just click on 'Start', click on 'control Panel', the 'add or remove programs, or for windows 7 ( 'uninstall program'). It will provide a list of programs on the computer, look for Adobe AIR,, click on it and click the button either 'change/remove' or 'delete'. Once ADOBE air has been successfully removed, go onto the adobe website and install the latest version of adobe AIR. Hope this helps.

Error 1612 comes up with I try to update or uninstall. My PDF's won't print.

Try using the windows install clean up utility to uninstall adobe reader. Go here to download it http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/files/file/397-msicuu2exe/
After you install it, run it and erase everything that is adobe. After you do that try to reinstall the latest version of Adobe reader from Adobe's website and see if that helps

Get the latest Adobe reader 9 instead. Acrobat 6 is a very old version and might not work on x64 processors

Adobe acrobat writer version 5 is requried for installation purpose

Acrobat is up to version 9 now, I believe. If you don't have Adobe reader or Acrobat installed on your computer, I suspect the latest one will allow you to use the software utilities as well as an older one. It kind of depends on your operating system. If you're still using an old OS, you may have to search the web for a download of an older Acrobat, which I suspect will be hard to find, as Adobe is pretty firmly in control of their downloads.
In any event, search here first:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/
If your system meets the requirements for installing the latest acrobat, do so, and then try to run your other software.
If you have an further questions or issues, please feel free to follow up. I'll be happy to assist you.

Make sure you have the latest version of flash installed.

You can check it here:

There is also a known issue with version 9.0.115.0 not working correctly with Soundblaster cards.

The reason why it will not uninstall is because it is not in there try to reinstall it by going to the Adobe page here: http://www.adobe.com and download the latest if you are still having problems it will be your installer youll need to fix that.

if you get this error message when you try to open a particular file. the problem could probably be in the .pdf file and not the software. if this is not the case, uninstall adobe reader completely and reinstall it. if this docent work. download the latest version of adobe reader from the adobe site and try installing it again.
