Thanks for prompt reply, it did not work.
I tried another idea from your friend Mr Manjeet [wiz] on this forum, that was to install windows installer and remove it from there then retart the pc and reload the Adobe 9 and it worked. Many thanks for your prompt response. and special thanks to Mr Manjeet from India too. Keep up the good work. Shamsher. UK

Select [Start} then [CONTROL Panel] then select [add or remove programs] ..find ADOBE and select it, then choose REMOVE program.. that should remove that software correctly. Please get back to me if that fails to work for you..

Java flash installation black screen

Hi Susan. I'm going to ask you to completely uninstall Adobe Flash and reinstall it as the latest version.

To Uninstall Adobe Flash Player:
  1. Download the Adobe Uninstaller below http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player.exe
  2. Exit all browsers and apps that use Adobe Flash.
  3. Run the installer that you just downloaded.
  4. Verify Adobe was uninstalled by restarting your PC, opening your browser and going to Flash Player Help, and clicking on "Check Now".
Adobe Flash Player should now be completely uninstalled.

To Install Adobe Flash Player:
  1. Visit Adobe Install Adobe Flash Player and click "Install Now".
  2. Close all apps and browsers running Adobe Flash and run the install program.
  3. After running the install, visit Flash Player Help and click "Check Now".
  4. Your Flash version should now be displayed along with your browser and OS.
You should now be able to watch YouTube videos without any problems. I hope this information helped you solve your problem. If it did, please consider voting for this answer. It is greatly appreciated.

Have a samsung n150 netbook everytime i download latest adobe 10 flash player it appears to be 100% successful however its not shown in All programs. However if i go into control panal, program, ...

Ok, here's what you need to do to try to fix this.
- make sure to remove/uninstall the adobe flash player 10 on your computer (remove it under the control panel.
- download and install adobe flash player 9 and install it. - once installed try to browse a video, if it works, adobe itself will just update to the latest version.

Since installing the latest version of adobe reader, the software crashes when trying to open pdf files...'not responding' error.

De-install Adobe reader & re-install - some problem occurred during download or installation.

To de-install (under Windows XP):
START > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs or Windows Components > highlight
"Adobe Reader X" > L-click "Remove" (button)

Download & install Adobe Reader per the manufacturer's instructions.

CANNOT INSTALL UPDATES FOR ADOBE READER 9

What error-message(s) do you get when you try?

If you're referring to the _free_ Acrobat Reader,
use Add/Remove Programs to uninstall it.
Then, download the latest version of the software from http://www.adobe.com -- most of the updates will already be integrated into the download.

If you're referring to the "full" software (that creates PDF files), find your original software, and license-key. Then, use Add/Remove Programs to uninstall it.
Restart your computer.
Reinstall from the media, using the license-key.
Then, do the "check for updates" within the software.

Can't get Adobe Flash Player 9 ActiveX.exe to download.

Flash player 9 is actually not the latest version. If you want to install the latest version which is version 10, follow the steps below:

a. Download the most recent Flash Player uninstaller to your desktop from the TechNote below. Please read the instructions in the TechNote before running the uninstaller.
How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control
http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157
b. Quit ALL running applications, including all Internet Explorer windows, other browser windows, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger or other messengers. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no applications which might possibly use Flash Player is still in memory.
c. Open the following folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
d. Run Flash Player uninstaller.
e. Check if there are files left in the folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash. If there are any files left inside the folder, delete the files.
f. Download and install the latest Flash player at:
Flash Player 10,0,12,36 Active X (for Internet explorer)
