I'm not sure, I have set up my sky caddie, but too sure on how to use it, I had to pay to get the courses on it, not happy with this device at all, sorry I can't help
after spending lots of money for this sky caddie,..it should work for any windows. will not recommend skycaddie to anyone in the future. they could spend the extra money and create a program for this problem and have not. The last thing I want to do is spend hours behind a computer trying this and that, just so I can install another course on my skycaddie.
Ran into this problem last night. Was trying to update software on Skycaddie. According to computer, everything finished. However, my skycaddie was displaying UPDATE PROGRAM VER 00.13 (B) Ready to Begin. Tried to reload last application as stated in earlier post. PC could not fine skycaddie.
Gave up and called customer service this morning. Only took a few minutes to get a live rep on the phone. He e-mailed me a link to execute that allowed him access to my computer. He tried to reload the last application as well, same result. He then ran an update program via a website, program found my skycaddie and was successfully updated. Whole process took less than five minutes.
I was fearing having to send my unit in for repair.
make sure when the cable to the back of the skycaddie is connected that the cord is going down towards the battery and not up. that may fix any USB connection issues you may be having.
plug in your connection cable to the back of the skycaddie with the cord going down towards the battery, not up. This should fix the USB recognition issue.
This may sound crazy but I had the cable connected incorrectly (I was getting a message that my Sky Caddie SG4 was unrecognized). When connected the cable correctly (to the back of the SG4) the cable wire should be pointing down.
