Noisy fan Fan blade catching on back plate. On examination spindle moves in and out about quarter inch. I suspect the spindle is part of the motor which possible needs to be replaced. The model type actually is EEB68000MX but I can't find it in the previous info.

My St George multi function oven has a noisy fan. How can I fix it?

Clean grease off the fan blades, remove the fan motor and re-secure it. Make sure there are no blades missing from the fan. Lubricate the fan shaft. Make sure any guard on the fan is not fouling and make sure the guard is properly secured. Vibration is what is likely causing the noise.

Or just replace the fan parts.

Exhaust fan is hitting something while running

The fan blade shifted (moved) on the motor shaft. Take it apart (usually from the rear) and move the fan blade a 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch to clear the housing. Don't add oil to the shaft otherwise it will move again.

Why is the fan so noisy?

If the fan is noisy, then it is probably due to worn bearings, or possibly worn or loose fan blade/s
In my experience it it is usually due to worn bearings.
The only guaranteed cur is to replace the fan motor.

Creda Cordialle fan assisted oven is so noisy what can I do?

If it is the fan that is noisy, check for loose fan or the fan blades catching the cover, if all o/k, then it will probably be a worn fan bearing, only solution would be to replace the fan motor.

To rtemove the nut, hold the fan blades, and at the same time undo the securing nut clockwise as though you were tightening it, as it is a left hand thread, and vice versa for tighteming it again

The fan catches as it turns and grinds loudly

Yes, Find out what it is "catching" on and adjust.
Sometimes it is nothing more than a wire pushed too close and begins to ping on the fan blades. If the fan blades are catching on the face plate. See if you can loosen the screws and pull then tighten to allow more space. You do not need much! Drastic solution would be lightly file the edge of the fan blades to provide more clearance.
Caution! You have to file evenly on all blades to keep the balance.
Of course the amount of metal you would remove would be relatively tiny.

It may be nothing more than insulation or paper which can be removed easily.
Good luck!
Hope this Helps!

Delonghi ESM465ST Oven Noisy Fan

If it is a fan assisted oven, then you are likely to have 2 fans, an external cooling fan, and a fan inside the oven for ciculating the hot air.
So to answer your query, yes it is a noisy fan you are going to have to establish which fan.
It could be a worn bearing, or the fan blade has come loose.
If it is a worn bearing, thge only cure is a new fan.
Hope this helps with your problem.

How to remove a fan/motor from a Zanussi oven

You are probably trying to undo the nut the wrong way.
It is a left hand thread, so to undo it, you go clockwise, as though you were trying to tighten it, and vice versa to tighten it up again. If you can't unscrew the nut, you will have to grip the fan spindle with something whilst you undo the nut.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Changing Smeg SA280X/1 fan motor, shaft nut stuck?

Most fan blades are held on by a single nut, which is usualy a left hand thread, so to unscrew it you turn it clockwise as though you are tightening it up.and to tighten it,anticlockwise..
If the spindle turns, then you will have to hold it with a pair of grips or similar.
Plz rate my solution.
Thabks.

NOISY OVEN

Yes, it can be fixed quite simply.
First check that the fan is not catching the cover or grill, if it is not remove panel covering fan and see if the fan blade is loose,on the shaft, they are usually held on by a left handed nut., so to tighten go the oppisite way to what you normally do, if that does not cure it, then your only solution is to replace the fan motor complete.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks, and a merry xmas.
