Subwoofer not working in my av reciever str-dk5

Are these line level in subs? If they are, it's unlikely two are bad. Please check you audio settings in the receiver menu.

Subwoofer with speaker wire?

Back in the old days, subwoofers were powered by the voltage from your receiver, through speaker wire.
Nowadays, subwoofers have their own power, hence not having speaker wire connections anymore.
It's unlikely that you'll be able to connect your old subwoofer to your new receiver.
You'd need to get a new one, which if you don't mind buying closeout, can be found on eBay pretty cheap.

Hi i want to know why when I use my sony cd-DX 225 DAV two small speakers do not work

It hard to determine exactly what it is you're speaking of, but if say the 2 surround speakers aren't working, you may have your unit switched wrong, hooked up wrong, etc. If you had amplifier damage on those 2 channels, the unit would not turn on at all. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

How to solve push power

F61 usually means the amp has detected a short or a severe microprocessor error.

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'nekkid'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as another possible root cause for intermittent shutdown.

Will you please inform me about the exact model number of your Comcast Universal Remote Control? There are so many models of Comast Remotes have silver with Red Okey button. The model number be on its bodey [front of back] or at the inner side of the battery compartment or its protective lid. Without this, it will be very diffcult to anyone to guide you.

Can i connect extra spekars

Hi,
Your unit is design for the packaged speakers, once you add other speakers aside from them your amplifier will expose to excessive load which will caused an overload. It will produce more heat and will damage the output IC.
Give a thumbs up if you find it useful.
Thanks for using fixya.
Have a nice day.

Need to know is there

Does a TV NEED surround sound if you have a surround sound HIFI? Normal setero sound would probably suffice as the TV might not actually have electroics or speakers to do anything but mic\x it down to lo-fi stereo.

Correlary: You COULD just drag regular RCA audio out of your cable box to the TV if you want to watch the news or talk shows.

Getting an error display as

Turn off your unit at the power button. Check speaker outputs for a short circuit - also check other end of speaker cables for a short. If you can't find an obvious problem then disconnect all speakers and power up the unit. If all is OK then connect speakers one at a time (this should be done with the unit powered OFF) and power up after each conection. This should identify which output is causing the problem.

If that does not work then it's an internal fault that will require a service engineer to identify - but I hope that is not the case!
