Dishwasher asko 1895 the pump the working the lights are flashing but the machine is not working

The lights flashing is telling that there is a fault in the dishwasher.I am assuming you have emptied the dishwasher after the drain cycle failed to work due to the pipe block. You will have to make a fresh start. Empty the dishwasher, turn the power mains switch off and on to reset the dishwasher.Start a new cycle and see if flashing lights stop flashing. If still same problem you will have to note which light(s) are flashing and send a post on this page. There is a chance the impeller in the drain pump may have sufferred some damage due to drain block depending on how long the motor operated before you found the problem with the drain.

It has been flashing an

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

The "F2" for Asko dishwashers indicates either the unit is overfilling, or the valve itself has failed.

The problem is likely the fill valve, based on your description... "It has been flashing an F2 error code and the timer starts at 65 then switches to "1" which stays on during the cycle. Now it will run for about a minute then stops completely".

Depending on the series of dishwasher you have, determined by serial number ( I don`t mean the model... I got it is a 1895 ) because those Asko machines had a revision to their valves moving from a dual solenoid to a single, the single substituting all dual coil valve units.

i.e.

f98cb6d.jpg

The original Asko number would be # 8057508 and available at most brick & mortar parts vendors or on- line places such as "repairclinic.com".

** turn off the breaker at the service panel before servicing the unit...safety first**

To check the valve will require the removal of the lower panel/kick plate or also referred to as a toe panel, and with the aid of an ohm meter and at least one wire removed from each/the coil, measure the ohm value of the coil.

The valve will be on your right...

i.e.

451817e.jpg
It should not read infinite, but rather 0 to 93Kohms.

That should move you forward and hopefully solve the problem. Let me know if anything is not clear or if you require further assistance.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck.

** If you have any reservation or are not completely confident servicing this unit please call in an authorized Asko technician **

These can be very difficult to service for one inexperienced, I see so-called pros mess them up all too often.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

I have damp air leaking

I presume by 'damp air' you mean steam.
If the steam is coming out from under the loading door, you may need to replace the door seal.
If the steam is coming from the lower bottom front panel (floor level) the dishwasher may have a leaking hose on the circulating pump or water inlet valve. The lower front panel should be removed to allow inspection of hoses/valves etc. (the panel comes off easily after removal of a couple of screws).

Asko 1895

the most important thing is to screw it to the bench, there are four screw points two at the top and two on the side near the top if you look you will see the tags where they go.as far as the hoses go just make sure the drain hose is up high and not laying on the floor.hope this helps.if connecting to hot water it must be below 60 degrees.and you probably wont need a pressure limitin valve fitted to the tap.

Fan in/on dishwasher keeps running - even after cycle is finished

I have seen this problem before and there are only 2 things you can do about it. 1: take the outer panel off the door to gain acess to the wiring and unplug the fan (it will have a slight negative effect on the drying, but not too much) or 2: replace the control board. The part is about $350-$450 (depending on which board it takes) and that doesn't even include the labor if you cant do it yourself. The only place I know of to get parts for these in the U.S. is american appliance 303 777 0993. If the unit is less than 5 years old, the board is still covered under a parts warranty. Look at your serial nuber on the inner edge of the door to determine when it was built. The first two digit are the year it was made ( so an 01 would be 2001 etc) and the second two digits are the week (so 45 would be the 45th week of the year) HOpe this helps!

Asko D5894 - remove drain hose from pump

It sounds like you've already made significant progress in attempting to replace the drain hose on your Asko D5894 dishwasher. Since you've removed the front plate, main electrical distribution box, and drain pump, it's possible that accessing the connection point between the hose and the drain pump requires additional steps. Check for hidden screws or fasteners: Sometimes, there may be hidden screws or fasteners that secure the drain pump or its housing. Inspect the area carefully to ensure you haven't missed any screws that need to be removed before accessing the connection point.

Asko dishwasher d3232 no water flow on start just a hum.then the 2 lefthand program buttons flash where should I start

A humming noise with no water flow in an Asko dishwasher could indicate a problem with the water inlet valve. Here are some steps to try and resolve the issue:
  1. Check water supply: Make sure the water supply to the dishwasher is turned on and there is enough water pressure.
  2. Clean the inlet screen: Check the inlet screen for any debris and clean it if necessary.
  3. Check water inlet valve: The water inlet valve may be clogged or damaged and preventing water from entering the dishwasher. Replace the valve if necessary.
  4. Check the pump: If the inlet valve is fine, the problem may be with the pump. Check the pump for any blockages or damage and replace if necessary.
  5. Check the control board: If the water inlet valve and pump are functioning properly, the issue may be with the control board. Check the connections and replace the board if necessary.

Asko D5457 Intermittently stops mid-way through cycle and resets itself. Ghost buttons beep and cycle changed by itself.

It sounds like your Asko D5457 dishwasher may be experiencing an issue with the control panel or the main circuit board. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check for any visible damage to the control panel or buttons. If the buttons or control panel are damaged, this could cause the dishwasher to malfunction.
  2. Check for any loose wiring or connections. Make sure that all of the wiring is properly connected and secure.
  3. Try resetting the dishwasher by unplugging it and then plugging it back in.
  4. If the issue persists, you may want to try running a diagnostic test on the dishwasher. Consult the manufacturer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that the control panel or main circuit board is faulty and will need to be replaced. It is recommended to contact a professional for assistance with repairing or replacing these parts.

Does this happen every time? If not, this is what happens when something fall through the rack and stops the wash arms from spinning. Soap remains in dispenser and dishes are not cleaned. Secure loose items and nothing falls through the silverware basket.
