try blowing it out with compressed caned air . if that does not work replace it . if it still runs under some conditions, you may need to reinstall the dirver
You are going to be looking for a keyboard symbol that looks a bit like a radio tower if you don't have that you don't have wi-fi and you will need to get a usb wi-fi at a outlet like best buy. but if you do have the wireless key symbol and you press fu + ( the wireless key symbol) and the blue light should come on . if itdoes not come on you may need to install a driver. if the lite does come on you will need to connect to your wi-fi router you can find the name in a wi-fi bar icon on the bottom right of the windows screen right click on that to see available connections pick yours and press connect. it may ask you to put a pin or select another option this is when you use the defalut password . if you don't understand how to do it I would let the greek squad at best buy set it up for you
you will find the name of the router in the label along with a default pass word
usb wireless adapter
this is one way if you can still get into windows.

When you download a program, watch carefully as you are asked to answer several questions like changing your search engine, or what toolbars you want and also, do you want an icon on the desktop. You can always right click a program on the search menu and add a shortcut to the desktop.
Your best bet to find these drivers on HP.com is to utilize the model number of the tower not the model number of the MOBO. Keep in mind that this MOBO is very old and is only running DDR2 memory. The computer will likely run widows seven but the time and effort necessary to build this to run win 7 you could just go to walmart and buy a cheap laptop that is more powerful.
Take an old credit card you no longer use and wedge it between the screen and the bezel. Life gently as you don't want to break the tabs that hold the bezel in place. Do this for all sides. If you have any circles near the top or bottom of the bezel this may be an update from the last one I worked on. Use an exacto knife to remove the circles by gently wedging it in the gap and lifting up. It should expose a screw. Unscrew those first before you try to remove the bezel via credit card.
Go to Control Panel > Mouse > Device Settings tab.
Make sure it's enabled.
There's probably a keyboard shortcut, but it's different for each laptop and you didn't say what model you're using.
If you have a backup disc or discs, put in the first one and restart the laptop. During the reboot, watch for anything that says boot from CD or DVD drive. You may need to go into the setup or Bios to run from this disc. If you have no discs, you can order them from HP's website or check the Windows start menu for an HP folder and a restore program. It should have information on what you need to do to restore to factory settings.
If you want to make it like the very first day you bought it their should be a restore partition on the HD. You need to visit the HP website for detailed directions. Just remember you will loose all your data.
