Kirby paint sprayer attachment

HERE is the manual, just instead of shampoo use water-based paint and do nut put that nozzle on the sprayer. WASH IT WELL after you use it. Honestly - you better off buying a spray can. Painting with Kirby - MESSY. May sound strange from someone who makes living selling Kirby stuff but I just hate salespeople making it sound as if Kirby vacuum is ONLY appliance that you ever need to buy...

I need an instruction manual for my Kirby

good vac. com has instructions for kirbys for free there are other sites as well but it will take you to sit down and do the research. a lot of people will charge you so since just about any instruction manuel is free online you should probably go that route.

Need to change electrical cord on g5 kirby

This should be fairly easy to do. With the cord unplugged, take the screw out that it holding the hard plastic cord cover onto the base of the machine. This is where the cord looks like it's going into the bottom of the machine. The next part is a bit tricky. The hard plastic piece holding the cord in can be popped out with a flat head screw driver. On each side of the cover pop the tip of the screw driver into the side and gently pull to the side. Do this on both sides of the cover and it should come right off.
The cord should just pull out.

Put the new cord in, pop the plastic cover back on, and put the screw back in.

Let me know if you need more help.

How do I attach the hose to a Kirby G5?

UN PLUG THE MACHINE before attempting this. There is a safety switch that prevents you from getting hurt but please just to be safe un plug the machine.

The hose attaches to the front of the machine. You will need to take off the brushroll nozzle first to do this.

Lift the front lid with the light on it. Pull the plastic lever from the front turn knob. Twist the plastic knob until the red markings line up. Turn the metal latch at the top of the nozzle. Pull off nozzle.

Take hose and attach it to where the nozzle was. The little plastic curved hooks on the hose attach to the metal rod. Once you have the hose on turn the metal latch to hold the hose onto the machine the same way the nozzle was held on.

Let me know if you need more help.
Thanks!

What parts go to a Kirby Shampooer?

There is a shampooer head with shampooer brushroll, water tank, small hose that hooks to the tank, collection tray

Need to use the Kirby shampoo. It goes down as wet suds but you pick up the suds with the vacuum when it drys. Fill tank adding 1 cap full of soap (kirby soap only) per level on the side, this attaches on the side where the bag is attached

After using the shampooer you need to reattach the vacuum bag and main brushroll nozzle as though you were just vacuuming up dirt.

Instructions:

Lift the front of your kirby up (front part with light) open the handle on the dail in the front (if epquipt), remove the power head, put on height adjustment on highest level, turn dial on front of power head until you see 2 red arrows facing each other, unlock by turning knob, power head should come right off, get shampooer out the power head for shampooer with collection tray, make sure dial is set red on red, put on front of Kirby and lock in, turn dial to green on green arrows, fill tank adding 1 cap full of soap (Kirby soap only) per level on the side, this attaches on the side where the bag is attached, line up arrow and notch and turn, to hook up hose put Kirby down to lowest level, notched end of hose hooks in on tray other end on the tank,on/off switch refers to the foam, Turn machine on to lay the foam & scrub carpet, take shampooer back off to extract the foam once it's dry.

Good luck.

How do I attach hose?

  • If the vacuum in the photo is the one that you our using i might be able to help...
  • If you already have a hose, you will notice that built onto one end is a somewhat flat peace of metal, that almost looks like a wale tail, various ridges underneath. This is what attaches to the underside of the vacuum, held in place by clips, it is the direct attachment that draws the dirt and dust from the small end of your hose, threw the tube and directly into your bag. If you do not have a hose you might be able to purchase one from a vacuum parts suppliers, or a vacuum store, however if your model is older you might have some trouble finding what you need. I hope that this has helped, and not just frustrated. God bless...

Kirby micron magic g5d 120v.50/60hz

Hello, Here is a link to the shampooer instructions and you will also be able to find a manual there. The G5 manual is out of print, but ANY G series manual will work as they are all exactly the same with difference of color.

Kirby Diamond Edition (no power)

You just check the bag "boot" to see if there is something worn down enough to keep the vacuum from turning it back on. If it is worn, buy a new mini-emptor assembly and install it and your vacuum should work fine.
