Hello heinz2127: My name is Roger and i will help you. The rear brake wires are green and yellow. They also are the turn signal wires. The brake lights work through the turn signal switch. The turn signal switch has logistics for determining which side is blinking so as to make the opposite side to show park brake light.Check the fuse box for a blown fuse. Look at the fuse box under the hood. Also try this. Turn on the four way flashers. Step on the brake pedal . The lights should stop flashing If not I would replace the turn signal switch.

Parking sensor wiring / reversing light wiring

Pretty much universal is the color coding on vehicle lights. Brown, or another color with a brown tracer/stripe, is always the running lights. You wont see an all brown wire on these newer vehicles. Always another color with the proper color tracer. Brown=run & tail-tag lights, green is right turn and brake light, yellow is left turn and brake light, and black is the ground wire to the lights. Inside cab and under dash, You need look closer for these colored tracers.all ground wires are white. This is what I've found.

Brake tail light strip on trunk is out. trouble shoot ? bulb on right side tail light is out. but can't find data on tail light strip of lights on trunk

Lets simply thing here. American Auto Manufacture use three wires set for it rear light assembly. One wire to the braking switch for both stop lights, one wire for the clearance light on both sides. Now if you look at the plug for taillight assemble there will three wires and didn't mention the third wire, it's ground. The two brake light uses one wire, then for on or clearance light uses one wire, and the ground uses one wire On old automobile normal the grounds any place on the body. But now the grounding points to make sure there isn't a faulty ground.

Turn signal light are a separate circuit as with the back up lights. I fairly sure your Caddy uses a Mylar strip with copper strips on it. Find were this copper strips are broken, scratch off the thin layer insulation and solder a jumper wire across the broken copper strip.

There will be a Central location where these light are tied together. Left brake light wire goes to the one wire from the brake switch under the dash, the right brake light goes to the same tied point to brake light switch under the dash. The Central wire point will be at one of the back lights. Just follow the colored wire. Now, each has two colors, one solid and one strip is colored with different colors. I hope this help you. When i hook my trailer to my 2002 ford superduty i have no running lights on trailer.brake and signal lights work fine.WHY?

Hello, if you only have taillights on the trailer and no side markers, check your bulbs first. The bright side is used for the Brakes and turn signals and the normal filament is used for the running lights.

If you use a test light you can find the pin on the connector which runs the Running lights. Sometimes the wiring harness will pick up the running lights off of the taillight in the bed of the truck. You would look for a wire going up into the taillight housing from the Trailer plug.

If you are the original owner of the truck there was a small package of Relays and wire ends that came in a plastic bag. It could be stored with the jack. This package had wire color information and instructions for Electric brakes. It also color-coded the Trailer plug-in socket as they use the extra pin holes for the Electric brakes. All the wires are discussed.

If an aftermarket unit was wired in the running light, the wires could be any color. The industry tried to put in a standard, but instructions still say if you don't have one color, its another. That is still vague.

Wat is the colour code on wiring to rear lights ,im tryin to connect a trailer plug

Did you buy the pre-wired harness or are you trying to wing it with a bunch of wires?? If you are, it won't work, When you hit the brakes and the blinkers, you will have a light show, the blinkers will flash both lights, because of the brakes, the pre-wired units are cheap and easy and worth using, you can get them on ebay, or any auto parts store. If you need the colors, get back to me, I will run out there and look. Hope this helps.

What color wire is the taillight/brake/signals?

With a test light see which wires are hot] with nothing on. then check with break pedal pressed, and then check again with turn signals on. This will help u isolate the hot wire to the light you are looking for.

My left brake light is not working. i checked the bulb and it was bad so then i changed the bulb but still no light. i then tore apart the panels in the rear of the truck to find no power to the wiring at...

First, one wire cannot control the turn signal and brake light, as the turn signal and brake light have to work independently of each other so I would verify the color code for the brake light wire and then check it.

Chevy c2500 siveraldo 8cyl no passenger brake light/turn signal

This sounds like some wires may not be connected or connected improperly. On this vehicle the wire colors are: Brown=parking lights, green=right turn/brake,yellow=left turn/brake. You will have to drop the spare tire to get a good look at these.
