If you are asking about the engine oil, generators like the 10W 30 weight oil, which is good for winter and summer use. . The brand doesn't matter to any gret extent. Just don't buy the el cheapo brand in the dollar store.

Type of oil in mercedes sl power steering

In the back of your owners manual they list approved fluids or approved fluid types. Mercedes has more up to date lists on the websites. Yours should be a Dexron II type but verify with your manual or dealer (call parts department and ask, they will tell you but service manager won't have a clue). You have to double check as the 90's were transitional where they went from the older style fluids to full synthetics in everything.

remove the tap from the tank
they have a habit of corroding internally and blocking the fuel flow
there is also a very fine filter in the end of the tap in the tank

Powerback 5250 no electricity at outlet, alternator hot, pressed reset no change

If alternator is hot without load the generator may have short circuit in windings or on terminals.

My 5250 watt Power Back generator will not start, and their is no spark at the spark plug.

Have you check the engine oil level? If it is down on oil you won't get spark because of the oil level switch shutting the ignition down to protect it's self.

Poured oil into power steering for 66 mustang. It normally uses F type transmission oil. Do I need to drain it? Will it damage power steering

Thankfully it wouldn't damage anything. However it is a messy job to drain the fluid back out. Either a shop can do it for you, or you can simply remove the return line and place it into a bucket. Turn it by hand to get most of the fluids out. Replace with cheap Type F, since you'll probably have to do it a few times to completely replace the fluid. Make sure its all red (Type F) or clear (Powersteering fluid). Good Luck
