A simple question I understand that Lexus service manuals demand that you bring the car in for many types of services many of which are trival in nature and are costly. What are the costs for 30000 ,40000 mile mile maintenance. And is the warantee effected if I don't bring the car for trival maintenance check?

That is not a common problem. I work at a lexus dealership and can attest to that. If you complain loud enough the dealer should "goodwill" warranty that for you especially since you've been a good customer. lexus sells a great car and will allow the dealer to warranty it for you out of warranty at their discretion. your powertrain warranty should be 7yr /70,000

Often caused by a loose gas cap or fouled or failed air fuel O2 sensor. Check your gas cap is fully ratcheted, Drive a day or two. If lights don't clear you will need a code reader attached to the car to diagnose.
