I'm fixing a coleman powermate 5000W and i need to know how to get the armature back on to the crankshaft

I got the armature off of the crankshaft and now I'm wondering if there is anything special i have to do to get it back together or what. Any info about reinstalling the armature or anything else related to the generator or 10hp briggs and stratton would be greatly appreciated thanks

Best I can do is the IPB, at least it will show you where things are supposed to go. Make sure when you put it back on that it is as straight as you can get it or if possible, leave bolt loose and tighten after rest of housing is in place, but from IPB view this might be dreaming.

My coleman started running at a super high rpm. I know it's the governor, but how do I adjust?

It sounds like the governor arms internally are broken, can you feel any resistnce? if not then it will need a tear down to fix

I have a coleman 5000W generator and it leaks oil where the engine is put together. I want to know how to seperate the armateur from the crankshaft.

unscrew the bolt from the end of the armature from there on it is just a friction fit try tapping it on the steel core with a copper mallet to work it free

No electric power generated from my Coleman Powermate Maxa 5000W.

the gensets on coleman generators are definately nothing to brag about but i would start by checking the windings and make sure the brushes have a clean armature to ride on
