How do I reset immobilizer for ford forte auii

They are all different but many systems will work if you leave key turned to on for 5 to15 minutes or so (need good battery) and then click right to start. Bigger issue may be chip key or ignition "reader" in vehicle may have lost contact due to age.

My 1990 3.0 petrol manual terrano was fine today, stopped off on way home and went to leave now it wont turn over, does nothing. battery is fine, all lights come on. wont jump start

Most cars have a heavy wire from the battery to the solenoid, on top of the starter. On the solenoid, there's a smaller wire that goes to the key. If the smaller wire fell off, you'd get the same symptoms. If the solenoid is bad, you may get that, too, though usually they click.

When jumped my truck runs but wont start again. i replaced battery and it still wont start

check the resistance on the wires from the battery to your fuse panel and your ground wires also check to make sure you have good connections inside your fuse box if all is good there try to bench test the starter by applying a direct 12 volt power supply to.

Dodge neon wont start

slow starting could be a number of things. If the batters is good, it might be the starter itself. If the starter is hot after trying to start, I would replace

I have had my 1996 nissan maxima for a few days and i moved it out of the drive way for my girlfriend to leave and when i went out there about 15 minutes later it wouldnt start. the battery is fine, what...

Sounds like a starter that has given up the ghost to me. However, I would still test the battery and check all of the cable connections before replacing the starter. (Unless you have performed a proper load test on the battery, you really do not know that it is any good.)

When starting it sounds like it is puttering and then stalls out. If I try to start it again, it wont start. Almost like it is flooded. I have a 1998 ford explorer with a little over 117,000 miles on...

I've got the same (1998 exploder). Someone went through the neighborhood trying to syphon gas. My truck started then sputtered out and now wont start. Gas is showing half tank plus I added 2 gallons Spark is good and gas pressure is reading 40psi(normal). Everyone else's including my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica started. I need help. Did you find something out that may help?

Car won't start focus is clicking

I wonder if your battery is really in an excellent shape. The way you described seem to be non sufficient voltage for the starter solenoid to engage completely. Make a quick observaton by leaving the headlight on while cranking the engine. If no significant drop on the headlight brightness. Then your battery is assumed to be good. (a cold crank voltage shouldn't below 10V) Then the remained items to work with is either the solenoid or the starter or both. I believe the solenoid is piggy pack on the starter. Most autopart stores would test it for free of charge.
