Hello,

Assuming the problems have been fixed it can take a few minutes to a few days depending on the drive time. The computer will eventually relearn everything. The PCM will adapt to your driving habits. It can take a while sometimes. Give it a week or so.
Regards, Tony

Transmission malfunction error

You will prob have to take it to a ford dealer and have them reset the trans comp. Sometimes the trans comp is set with a specific vin or serial num for the tranny and will need to be reset to read the new one.

2001 Ford F150, need to know On Board Diagnostic reset timeframe

Take it to auto zone and have them scan the computer to see if there's codes. If you want to reset it by driving it might take up to 100 miles and you'll have to drive it in the city and freeway until the computer relearns all of its settings. I would just take to auto zone and have them reset it, its faster.

Erratic shifting on 2001 f150 pickup

How many miles on it? Do you mean overdrive? Over drive will clunk when shifting in cruise. Mine lasted 212,000 miles but I have heard of them going out after 120,000, depends how you drive. That Traney is good till it starts acting up then you will need a complete overhaul. I got it done for $1800. Do not go to a Ford dealer, they quoted me $3200.
