Power windows need power and it is a fair guess that is what is missing. The trouble is the circuit for power windows can be convoluted and complex and the power the window switches control isn't always the power that makes the windows move.
It could be significant it is the rear windows that don't work and I am wondering how you tested the rear window lock switch. Did you use a voltmeter to check it had power to it and it passed through when switched on?
Is the switch mounted in the driver's door panel? If so the problem might be a broken wire in the door harness.
A wiring diagram would be invaluable aid to troubleshooting...
Did you check to see if the bulbs are any good? Is power reaching the bulbs? If not, why? Bad wire, bad fuse?
Until you find the problem assuming the bulbs are good, since the rear window brake light is good, you can always tap that hot line and run it to the hot of the bulb not working and now all will work.
looks like the master may be ageing--or some wires in the door network cud hav been screwd with when fixn new--bring it to a xperiencd independent--always ask questions 1st to see if they done this stuf bfor--getta feel and dont rush--local library has mechanx books that are used in shops
Don't worry...the heat you feel on the rear side of ac is absolutely normal. that is why you always see the rear-end of ac's sticking out of windows every where...it's to expel the heat outside and not in your house.
Rear vent windows are always an incredibly huge pain, they have so much eurathane between the body of the car and the window, all of the interior trim pannels need to be removed, and you will need a razor blade or a eurathane cutting tool, a heat gun always helps too, cut all the eurathane between the window and the body of the car and the window will come out, there is more than likely a few plastic clips holding the window in, it really is a pain.
put oil on the pin that fastens the arm to the rotator. work the arm up and down several times to work out the grindge and rust. Reoil and repeat several times
wiper will rest on the window for full operation
