My lincoln 92 runs well , by little by little, if i gas it to soon i get failures, it gets up to 80 or 90 milles per hour, but i have ti give it time to ctch up, what coul be?, i changed the sparg plugs, the wires, the coils, fuel and air filter,

It sounds like the same issue I just had. Check your EGR valve and insure it's working. Also, there is a tube assembly on the bottom of the EGR valve to the exhaust manifold. My Lincoln had a flex tubing between the fittings and cracked. The new ones are rigid. Another good sign it's the EGR is a gas smell. Hope this helps...

There is a fault in the system that needs sorting out soon!! Get a good Auto electrician to test the system as you could risk the airbag going off while you are driving. Get the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic system or an OBD2 scanner. This will give you an error code for more information on what the problem is.

Hi John, I am not sure but it sounds like the 'Fail Safe' has kicked in. When the car is sick or a bit crook it gives you just enough time to get it fixed without blowing it up. Hope that helps Greg.

tighten gas cap
clear code per FSM
then drive 20 miles.
corrected?

all cars, made 1988 to now , do that, for any EVAP failure.
loose gas cap is 99% of these failures.
if not, you need to do a pressure test on the EVAP system.

Please remove the acceleration parts and clean it and fix those again, which may solve your problem. The problem might be block in the valves or any damage parts. Please check once, clean it and replace if any parts damaged and try driving.

Sounds like you are running out of gas. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? PO 300 means there is a miss fire which can harm the catalytic converter. It could also be a ignition problem. Coil pickup. Without hands on diagnosis it is hard to exactly pin point the problem.

Flow valve in the transmission is sticking most likely.this is usually caused by some other failure creating metal particals that should not be in the system.Good luck!

See if you notice it getting louder and softer as you turn a little to the left or right while you are going at speeds that makes the noise. If so, it is a front wheel bearing.

Your cat should last quite a while now it is replaced. I recommend testing coil packs and module. Change plugs and wires and double check your vacuum hoses.

I would first change the transmission fluid since it may be burnt. If this does not work you need to have the transmission checked out.
