The wiper arm "nut" is the key...try tightening the nut down...be sure the wiper arm is in the correct (same) location as the drivers side...you can do this by running the good side, and turn wipers off before turning the key off...this will assure proper alignment...Don't be afraid to torque the nut down...this is the most common problem...as winter and ice take a toll on frozen...wiper arms that are pulled loose from the ice or snow...Hope this helps.

People are saying that it could be the transmission or the wiper blade motor. Now if it was either would one still work. They say the nut is on tight.I don't wan to spend big dollars on this problem if it could be a simple thing. Also I was told that something could have snapped would that be posiible. Please respond. Thank You

Passenger Side Windshield Wiper Broken

Hi Jill,
The first thing to check is a 13mm nut that holds the wiper arm in place.See if you can move the wiper arm freely back and forth. There is a nut at the base of that wiper arm,Lift up a cover that is hiding the nut. If it comes loose from being froze from ice or snow. Put the wiper in its rest position and tighten the nut back up.

My driver's side wiper blade has stopped working.

The nut that holds it to the wiper pivot is either loose or the pivot is stripped, try tightening the nut first.

2000 Chevrolet Venture van wiper arm postion?

https://s1.postimg.org/7nq74iahan/wiper_blade.jpg

Click on the link.
the picture is for wiper blade, you see the inches for each wiper above and below the blackout. To adjust the blade, if that is the problem, remove the blade and measure accordingly to measurement in picture. You may need to use a puller to remove blade. My info says a battery terminal puller should work fine, after you remove the nut. To install, my info says to torque the nut to 35 ft lbs.
I found this info in my database, it's all I have to go by. Hope it helps.

Passenger side wiper blade does not run on 2006 lacrosse

On lower side of wiper arm (closest to windshield) is a nut that has probably come loose. They do this when someone has forced frozen wiper. Tighten nut. It's under a flip up cap

How to change front wiper motor on 1993 ford explorer

Hi there,
  • Turn the ignition on, and turn the front windshield wipers on. When the wipers are facing straight up on the window, turn the ignition off so they remain in that position.
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable with an adjustable wrench. Remove the passenger side wiper blade assembly, by removing the pivot nut at the bottom with an adjustable wrench. Remove the wiper linkage access cover, and use a screwdriver to remove the wiper motor clip. Remove the wiper linkage from the wiper motor.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector on the wiper motor. Remove the bolts and nuts, securing the wiper motor with a socket wrench. Remove the wiper motor from the vehicle. Install the new wiper motor, and tighten mounting bolts and nuts with a socket wrench. Connect the electrical harness to the new wiper motor. Connect the wiper linkage, and insert the linkage clip. Install the wiper blade assembly, and tighten the nut with an adjustable wrench.
  • Connect the negative battery cable securely, using an adjustable wrench.
Hope this helps...

03 Taurus wiper problem

What I would suggest you do is the following:

1) Remove the driver side wiper (arm & blade).
2) Start the car and turn on the wipers.
3) When the passenger wiper is straight up and down .. turn off the car. This leaves the wiper in position.
4) Re-install the drivers side wiper and put it back on so its position is the same as the passenger - making them parallel

Start the car and test
