2001 Mercury Sable with a 3.0 "S" engine code. Engine idols up and down when I put on any of the climate controls.. Why is that?

Perform a Idle speed control valve cleaning and a throttle valve cleaning, use throttle valve spray cleaner only (available at any auto parts store for about $5). After cleaning disconnect the battery negative cable for 5 minutes to facilitate an idle speed relearn.

My 2002 Mercury Sables gives a "bucking" sensation

Yes Brother, I know that experience. Have a computer test done to find which cylinder is misfiring and replace that fuel injector. It's gone dead and we call this a dead cylinder. Seems like it runs fine, until you hit overdrive. Then it feels like you're running on one square wheel. A steady thump.
