If the peddle went to the floor you had a break some place in the system, causing the pressure to drop dramatically.
Have it towed to the nearest mechanic and do not attempt to drive it.
They are going to have to find the source of the leak and replace it. Could be any where in the brake system.

The brakes went to the floor and the light that has the brake with I P on top came on. I filled the master cyclindeer with brake fluid and pumped the brake back up ,but the brakes are soft agian. What can...

IF your brake pedal went to the floor, then you have a brake fluid leak somewhere. Even though you filled the reservoir with brake fluid, the system now has air in it. The first thing you need to do is find the leak and repair it. Most likely a wheel cylinder or caliper piston leaking. Once the repair is done, you will need to bleed the air from the rake system. Since you don't know anything about the brake system, I would strongly suggest having a professional mechanic do the work. If it is not done right, your brakes could fail.

INSTALLED NEW FRONT BRAKE PADS ON MY 2006 DODGE CARAVAN AND NOW PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR, I DID NOT DISCONNECT ANYTHING. WHY WOULD THIS HAPPEN?

When you push the caliper piston in to install the new brake pads, you have to keep pumping the brake paddle after the new pads and every thing is put back together, the paddle will come back up, do it with the engine off.

83 Ford F350diesel dually truck brake problems

you must have a leak in your brakes! check your brake fluid! They may work for now but after all your brake fluid is pushed out they wont work. You better take a look underneath and get someone to press on the brakes to see where it is leaking out. You can keep toping up the brake fluid and that might get you by for a while.

My brake pedals are going to the floor, what could be the cause?

Check for brake fluid leak's at all wheel's. but more then likely it going to be your master cylinder, pump brake paddle up and hold with lots of pressure if paddle goes down bad master cylinder.Good luck.

I have just replaced my front brake pads and paddle drops to the floor how do i bleed the front brakes.

If you did not open the bleeders just keep pumping the brakes paddle will come back up, if you did open the bleeders have some one pump the paddle on hold down open bleeder do this on both sides till no more air comes out.
