Cant find brake module XL34-2C346BCF150....right side caliper hanging up or slow to release pressure. Has over 200k. Solenoid hangin up????calipers are new. Pulls left when braking and after stop as I pull away it pulls right, like caliper is sticking. After a bit, pulling right ceases. I have pumped the brakes and then cracked the bleeder valve, its holding pressure.

Pump the brake pedal then go check and see witch caliper is hanging up release the bleeder on the affected one if fluid comes out under pressure and the caliper then frees (wheel would have to be off ground ) the flex hose could be falling apart inside and pluggin up.Replace flex hose.

2005 Mazda tribute front driver side brake is not releasing immediately when brake pedal is released and keeps pressure on grinding through pads.

This is a very common problem. You have a brake hose that broke inside so replace the hose and don't play with the brake modulator.
I hope this helps. Take Care.

Hello! My Ford Escape 2008 limited has problem with left front brake line.

The typical rebuild kit includes just seals. It would be better to buy the caliper complete. Professionally rebuilt units can be found on the internet for about 35 dollars.

I have a 2005 Chevy Equinox LS and the drivers side front brakes keep locking up. Can I get some help with this problem. None of the lights come on when this happens.

Most likely the brake hose to the caliper is bad. They deteriorate from the inside and clog up, not releasing the fluid. A way to check is raise that tire pump up the brakes, release the hose at the caliper, if the caliper releases, the hose is bad, if it doesn't the caliper is bad or you have no brake pads left and the piston can/is cocked a bit.

Right Side Brakes keep holding and not releasing

Hi Tommy, I'm glad to help! There are only 5 things that can cause brakes to hold: (1) Calipers are sticking. NOTE: There are several reasons calipers stick, there are internally frozen meaning you need new calipers. Here's how to check them release the nut that holds the hose to the caliper when the fluid bleed out and the calipers do not release pressure from the brakes then they are internally frozen, replace them. (2) Hose's are calapsed internally. You check the hoses in the same way, release the bolt and if the calipers DO Release pressure from the brakes then you know it's the hoses. (3) The actual metal lines going to the back of the Vehicle could be damaged. Example: One time one of the rear brakes would not release pressure and I found where the line goes acroos the rear axle something had hit the line and smashed it flat and so it was holding brake pressure on the wheel. (4) Let's not forget how much dirt and grime builds up on the brakes themselves. Example: I found one time where the LANDS where the brake shoes slide were so dirty that the brake pad itself was stuck and holding the brake pressure on that wheel. (5) The Master Cylinder, not very often, but I have seen the ports in the master cylinder clog-up and will not bleed back to release brake pressure. This is a few thing for you to check out that will help you find the problem yourself and save you money. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Tommy.

Front brake locked up

sound like you have a brake caliper that has went defective.need to replace this item and should take care of the problem.because when you applied pressure to the brakes the brake caliper started to close so the brakes could tighten against the brake rotor to slow vehicle down and some times these calipers will stick down holding pressure on the wheel disc and cause the wheel to still have the brakes holding down the brake shoes against it not letting pressure to release from rotor and this is what caused it to stay locked up its not releasing to allow to allow wheel to spin free.best bet is to replace the brake caliper.you can pick one up at parts place or local junk yard and are not highly expensive but I would go with new one if possible. to insure this does not happen again this is very dangerous could cause you to have a accident so I would get fixed before driving again.safety first .hope this helps you out so I would replace the brake caliper and also put a new set of brake shoes on it.its not hard to put on easily fixed. thanks 10 zacks

Abs system brake

I would replace both rubber brake flex hoses,& then if
calipers pistons move to your liking, you need the engine
running to have the ABS Module & HCU Unit working
If you still have issues, the HCU Solenoid is rusted inside, for
whatever wheel brake you can't bleed or apply pressure to

98 jimmy slows down and stops on its own.

If the brakes are stopping the jimmy, it could be a hydraulic problem. check brake fluid level in master cylinder. If it is overfilled, fluid can expand when fluid heats up and can apply brakes. also, bad brake hose can trap pressure in caliper and apply brakes. Also check brake pedal and booster adjustments. other possibility is caliper/hardware (mechanical) is hanging up and not releasing. If drum brake in back, check adjustment and/or stuck wheel cylinder.

Occasionally after driving and stopping my right front brake caliper is slow to release,a few times it actually stayed applied and become extreamely hot. When this happen I opened the bleeder screw...

Replace the rubber brake hose on that side....they are prone to rotting on the inside and letting fluid pass through it ,but not letting it back out, causing caliper to stay hung up and making you believe caliper is sticking, and opening the bleeder lets off pressure for a little while...I have seen many unneeded calipers be replaced, and then problem is still there. Now I will almost always replace both hoses when doing a front caliper change....they get old too...Good luck..Lee

Front brakes dragging

First of all you will need to raise the wheels off the ground. Check both sides to see if they are both holding. Here is a list of what can cause the hanging in order of probablility;

1) Caliper or Caliper hose. (If the caliper is not free it won't release the pressure from the pad. Always replace the hose with the caliper because the hose may look good, but can collapse internally holding the pressure.

2) Master cylinder. Not likely but possible.

3) ABS is engaging. This can be caused by a short, it is rare, but it does happen. The short is telling the system that the wheel needs to be applied.

Front disc brakes

Probably a restriction in the brake line from the master cylinder to the wheel.

Most of the time brake hoses do this (collapsed hose or hose inner liner) but the restriction could be anywhere from the point your front brake pressure divides to both wheels to the caliper of the wheel. The problem is not the caliper itself because the bleeder is able to relieve the pressure.
