My 1994 Crown Victoria turned off at a red light after the lights and radio went dim. It started again about 15 minutes later and ran for about thirty seconds. I had the battery checked and it's fine, any ideas?

Yes ideas.your altenator may be bad,or the belts broken to the altenator. look for yourself to see.if the belts are all on,then charge your battery and take your car to an autozone or advance auto parts store and they will check both battery and the altenator for free. if both check good, which it sounds like a bad altenator to me.they will charge your battery for free also, which then, you'll have enough power on the battery to drive back home,or a close repair facility. they will not[autozone or advance auto parts] replace, remove your altenator, but they can check it while it's still on the car.if it turns up bad, they can charge your battery fully, which with no headlights on,you can drive about 25miles with your battery FULLY charged.thank you for choosing fixya.com

It have a 1994 crown victoria it ran out of gas I put 5 gallons of gas in it, when I turned the motor over it started right up, it ran for about a minute and a half then quit. I changed the filter, checked...

Air in the fuel line. Take one small wire off the starter relay and turn and hold the key in the start position for a while. Listen for the fuel pump. It will run fast for a second then slow down. When it does, put the wire back on the starter relay and crank the engine.

I dont see if the turn signal light has to do any thing with the engine shutting off, make sure the IAC idle air control valve is working, air filter is good, fuel filter is good and IF your vehicle has a power steering pressure switch then that could be causing it but with 1985 Crown Vic I dout it.

1987 crown victoria ltd wont start when driven for about 15 minutes i have to white about 10 minutes for it to start up again

Sounds like a bad starter possibly getting non functional with heated up condition.

The solution is to change the starter with a new one, hopefully lifetime warranted if that's available.

reach underneath and hit the starter housing a few times with a hammer,if it now works either replace the brushes in the starter which cost about $20.00 ,or replace the starter which costs about $90.00.(parts only for both estimates)

Stereo draining battery?

It sounds like you need to have the car looked at by a professional. This is not normal, and its def. NOT good for the car. Have an electrical specialist check it out.

'94 Ford Crown Vic Headlights

They are changed from within the engine compartment... at the rear of the headlight bazels... if it's the side on the battery you may have to remove it.... also don't touch the bulbs with your fingers as that shortens the life of them.
