What does a12 mean on the maintenance sceen? - 2006 Acura TL

A13 is broken down to A, 1, and 3.

A means you have to change your oil.
1 means you need your tires rotated.
3 means you need to change your transmission fluid.

In trip 'A' mode, hold the trip reset stick in and turn ignition to 'on'. Do not start car! If it does not reset, you have a computer glitch. Live with it!

I don't have the diagram. But green wires are always ground. The two yellow wires, if it goes into a plug, plug it in. Most plugs are what I call, iddiot proof. Not meaning you are one. But the plugs will not go to another plug. If you have to put a lot of force to get them to go together. They don't belong together. Just remember that some plugs don't go to anything. They make these harnesses to fit multiple vehicles..

When your vehicle is coming up for due maintenance, the light will flash for a few when you start the car. When the time for scheduled maintenance is due, the light will remain on constantly. It's just routine maintenance, but if you haven't done it, that's your reminder. Then, you or your mechanic will have to reset that maintenance reminder light.

It is an oil change and oil filter, a tire rotation and air filter change. A12 means the A1 and A2 services are due, hence A12

A means oil and filter change
1 means tire rotation and
2 means replace engine air filter and cabin air filter

with key off hold the select/reset button on speedometer, turn key to on position and wait until the maintenance light flashes ,start car and this should reset it -Jeff please rate
