Hi I can't find cheap used transmission for my 2003 satuarn Vue I bought that car almost about one and half years ago from the San Leandro dealer I spend $7,000 dollar for that car so now my car been set in driveway for 5 month that I have not been drove because of transmission went out . I live in San Leandro and where should I find the used transmission . thank you

make sure you put the right battery in your car.

find a phone book, look in the yellow pages for transmission repair. call around and see who is cheapest. going to be expensive no matter who does it.

Forget a warrantee,it is 8 years old

Any slipping of a transmision, means it won't
last long and has been slipping for some time

Hopefully a wiring issue

Don't drive it until resolved

Keep the serpintine belt, oil/oil filter, air filter, gas filter and transmission fluid/filter changed regularly. At 84k, check the brakes (front and back). I would look at changing the spark plugs as well. If it is running good, you want to keep it that way...good luck

The TYPE of transmission fluid you would use in a Saturn Vue is a synthetic ATF (or you can use a Mobil 1 transmission fluid).

If you do not see it in the usual location between engine & transmission,out of the transmission, it is a sealed system. You need to go to a dealer or shop to have it checked. It has a special procedure to check & refill it.

you may have to replace body control module, I had to tow my 2002 saturn vue v6 about two years ago to the dealer approx $500.

ther is now a longer warranty on the vti trans,up to 125,000 miles.If you have aproblem see your local dealer.

If you are below 100 psi then you have a major leak inside the transmission. These will read upwards of 700 psi and require a special gauge to check line pressure. As far as fixing this there are limited parts available for this transmission and a replacement unit is big bucks. Take the car to your saturn dealer and see what they will do. These have a 5 year 75,000 miles warranty for the transmission, and most of them are covering up to and past 100,000 miles for customer satisfaction. If you dont know much or anything about this transmission do not attempt to repair it. Let the trained professional tech at saturn take care of this.
