This sounds like you have either a blown fuse on the fuse block. or possiblly a blown fuseable link somewhere in the line. also very possible that there is a short in the wiring somewhere goin back to the lights.

I have a 2000 BMW z3 that the brake light doesn't turn off while running. I've removed the wire off the switch but still on. The right hand signal flashes fast when lights are on.

Usually if my right blinker is flashing fast it means one of my right blinkers is not working either front or back right side. Not sure but I know every vehicle I have ever had was like that. One blinders not working the other flashes fast, on the dash also.
This post he repaired the problem it was the light switch.

2007 Dodge RAM My rear running lights work. Drivers rear brake light and third brake light work, but passenger rear brake light does not work. Lights are LED.

You have a short in the cross over wire. Almost all cars and trucks have one main break wire with a second wire "y" in off to the passenger side . You could just wire in a cross over and disconnect the old one.

Put new after market rear bumper on my 2002 chevy Silverado 2500hd and my new license plate light has one wire and old light has 2 wire so I just connected the hot wire to new light and now my rear tail...

Check for that fuse in a fuse panel under the dash.
That second wire from the old light is a ground wire, whereas the new light's socket is case grounded if there is no ground wire for the light. If the fuse for the tail lights is good, check if the tail lights lost a ground .

My tail lights on my 1999 chevy venture work when they won't to and I think it's a ground short.. But I don't know where to look for it!

get a wiring diagram, follow this circuit, wire by wire, start @ rear, your tail lights, check each bulb, then proceed to front, along frame rail, to switch & fuse block. test for continuity & shorts, bad wires, corrosion, etc

Tries to start,won't run

Have you checked that the fuel pump is "humming" in the fuel tank when the ignition is in the "on" position? If it's not,the easiest thing to check, which 99.9% of people don't know about Trackers is a fuseable link located behind your rear tail light (driver's side). If you remove the tail light find the PINK wire (on CDN ones anyway, you can check the top of the fuel tank to see what color it is) where it connects to the fuseable link, this is your power wire, if the link looks melted you won't get power to the fuel pump. Check this before you buy any parts, if it's melted cut the wire on both sides of the link and add a new piece of wire (3-4") and connect the two ends and seal it with silicone or at least electrical tape, it should start now.

99 mercury mystide had rear running light broken

If the driver's side tail light is working, it's not a fuse. Use a test light to check for power at the bulb holder. One terminal will be for tail light, the other for brake/turn light. If the is constant power for tail light, replace bulb. If no power, trace wiring from bulb holder to driver's side junction. Probable broken wire between the two tail lights.

Tail lights and brake lights not working - not fuse - what can it be?

Brake light switch, located on upper brake pedal should be checked, that is most likely your brake light issue, but U say tail lights aren't working, but running lights do, tail lights and running lights I would consider to be the same, so can u clarify that for me? Let me know how the u do w/ brake light switch, and if u have issue w/ tail lights?
