Just got my battery changed last week. Car was working fine then I jumped my sisters car and the next day went out to start it and it didn't start but it turned over a little bit then I waited a couple hours after that and tried it again and all it did was click then my friend tried jumping it and after that my car doesn't do anything at all when I turn the key.

Think you damaged the alternator ,its been flashed the wrong way around ,now inside the alternator is a zena diode which should stop any damage from occuring ??? BUT i do feel yours wasnt fitted or for whatever reason you have cooked the alternator and damaged the diodes causing you alternator to discharge the battery

bad conection. need to change batt posts on car or it dont have a good ground. follow the neg wire n check that one too.

My best guess without being able to see the car is that the battery hard wiring is faulty.

You need to check both the condition, routing and security of the battery negative and positive leads.
You also need to check the security and condition of any additional earth leads which connect the engine to the chassis/body.

try jumping if it jumps or you get power from a jump its your battery it can die over night this is common runs good one day then will not do it the next i would start there first if it turns over after a jump that is your problem.Replace the battery most batteries only last up to 18months

First make sure the terminal and posts are clean and greased.

Then make sure the alternator belt is tight.

The type of battery makes no difference as long as it fits.

What matters is whether or not the alternator is putting out 13.5 volts or higher, in order to keep the battery at 12.5 volts. Put a voltmeter on the battery and rev the engine.
