It's mounted in the engine block under the injection pump on the driver side of the engine. It's right up against the power steering pump, above a motor mount.
Best option is to get a manual from Advance auto and look at the wiring schematic for the lighting system. Then check for 12v at the fuse, and proceed to the output side of each component in the ckt to see where you lost the 12v. Could be the switch on the pedal, or you might have a control module inline somewhere.
remove coupling from top of steering rack ( make sure you mark postition of coupling first with centre punch so the replacement will be in the same position)
remove covers from steering column and ignition + anything else attached to column. good luck
