Check drain and unclog if required. Remove air cabin filter (see you tube for instructions). Make sure it is done in a clean place so no dust or dirt gets in while you do this. Block Air Cabin filter opening with duct tape. Set fan to 50% (3/4), temperature to minimum AC must be OFF Open hood and using a Spray bottle, spray half a bottle of Alcohol 70% into the air intake vents at bottom of windshield Turn off fan Let it sit for 30 to 60 min Set temperature to max and fan to max Open hood and using a Spray bottle, spray the second half (250ml) of a bottle of Alcohol 70% into the air intake vents at bottom of windshield. Turn heater and fan OFF Take off duct tape and replace the air cabin filter (new one is better) If you don't take off the air cabin filter, a lot of the alcohol or disinfenctant (like Lysol) may be stuck in the filter causing an irritating smell. Replace Air cabin filter if possible.
You will need to replace the heater core. It obviously has a small crack or hole in it and that is where the steam on your windsheild and the smell of antifreeze is coming from.
HI, I think you are experiencing normal condensation, try putting the heat and AC control to the position that blows a small amount of conditioned air up through the defrosters. This dries the windshield. Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!!!
mould in evaporator case?
some vehicles have a pollen filter(air conditioning air intake filter)not sure if your vehicle has but check if it has, may need replacing.
check plenum chamber(area under front windscreen)for leaves and debris.
then can try and spray mould killing pressure can(glen 20)air freshner in through intake air places under front windscreen with windows down air cond on full fan speed on fresh air while engine running or not depending on how long and how bad smell is.
may also pay to check for blocked air cond. drain tube, is it dripping water when running?
service centres or hire places have also got fragrance and mould killing machines you can use inside vehicle under similar conditions as above(ozoneator)
The problem most likely comes from the body of the car being twisted. What needs to be done is to determine what area of the windshield is leaking. This can be done with someone holding a lit cigarette inside of the car. A second person outside of the car with an air hose. Move the air hose around the perimeter of the windshield while following it from the inside with the cigarette careful not to burn the interior. Once you hit the leaking spot the smoke will show you exactly where it is coming from. Now take out the interior panels surrounding the glass. Shoot urethane into the surroundng area of the glass where it leaks. This can be bought at any glass shop. Take a flat tool and spoon the adhesive into the open area. Replace the interior mouldings and do not wash for 48 hrs.
