My 1995 pontiac bonn when i least expected shuts off while running or when i come to a stop. at times it crank back up quick at other time wont start at all but the next day i go turn the key and bam starts with no problem.

Larry . what type of fuel system are you running? sounds like it has a mixture supply problem at idle after coming off revs. the solution is different depending on fuel type and system ie: LPG, Petrol, Carby, Injection
My guess would be a fuse has blown, which has cut-off current to you windows and starter, and you didn't notice the latter until you shut off the car of course. Give the fusebox a quick check before making any assumptions.
hi out telstar was doing that type of carry on and it finally died on the side of the road much to my wifes disgust . it ended up being the crank sender failing and cooking the ignition module. it was about $600 to fix but that was a few years back now. good luck
