SOURCE: 01 LS power window cable clips failed, window fell into the door

I've replaced 3 of the 4 window regulators on my 2001 Lincoln LS. It's a better idea to replace the whole regulator assembly then to repair one that is worn out or broken. It saves a lot of time and money in the long run. Look on the big online auction for a replacement. Be sure to check the sellers feedback score, and the price of shipping. I've bought all 3 of mine that way and haven't had any problems. Good Luck!

SOURCE: PLASTIC GUIDES ARE BROKEN ON A 92 CHEVY CAPRICE WINDOW REGULATOR

I have a 91 Caprice with the same problem. I live in Atlanta, GA. and I could not find any autoparts store selling these pieces. I eventually found them at www.clipsandfasteners.com
The part number is : A20424 GM Front Window Guides 1 13/16 total length. They come in a box of 5 pieces. Cost $4.92 for 5 pieces. I had to replace one on all of my windows. The piece is the same piece used on the back windows too. They are a trick to get in. You have do a little bending of the aluminum thing they slide into. In the end a big C-clamp works slick to get the regulator arm piece to pop into the nylon piece. Patience is needed.

Window on my 2005 lincoln ls fell and wont roll up

This is a common problem on the Lincoln Ls. The window regulator which has a plastic clip on it wears out and then just drops your window. Autozone sells the window regulator for a pretty decent price, around $90. When it happened to my Ls it was a simple swap to get my window back working. Although if your not mechanically inclined then you should find a mechanic to do it. Dealerships are way too expensive for such an easy task.

The passenger side window in my 2000 Lincoln LS has come off the track. How do fix that?

The window regualors on the lincoln LS are know pieces of junk.I have had several fail on mine.

The removal of the door panel is the trick I can help you with.
There are screws hidden under a plastic coner. This cover is at the bottom of the recess where the hand hold recess is on the door panel (the place where your fingers fit when you close the door). Pop the little cover up, and you will find the fasteners. The rest is more straight forward, once you get the panel pulled away, you can see whats going on inside your door.
It's not a fun repair, but paying the dealer is even less fun.

Good Luck

How do i remove the door panel off of a lincoln ls?

Pry the round screw covers off of the armrest and remove the screws. Remove the door handle and take a flat blade (stiff putty knife) and pop the plastic clips out by placing the blade between the door panel and the door and prying upward. Slide the blade to find the next clip. There are several of them. When all of the clips are poped out from the door push the door panel up which releases it from the window opening.

Window dropped on driver side of my 2002 lincon ls.

Sounds like your window assembly has failed or the cable has broken. An easy repair, once the door panel is removed and the assembly disconnected from door.
