You might also want to check your fuel filter and your fuel pump for proper operation before going on so that you dont spend more for uneccessary repairs.
The filter is located eather under the car at the driver or rider side door.
Other probs can be Bad fuel pump Clogged air filter. Clogged injectors Water in the fuel tank. Clogged catalytic converter Bad MASS air flow sensor Bad Throttle position sensor Timing is off
try with out filter, if it still fails when powered up then dirt may have got into line between filter and engine, if not, get pressure reading on fuel line after pump as pump may be going down, after that could be any thing, like an air leak
the problem sounds like it is not getting enough of fuel. check or replace fuel filter to see if this helps, also make sure fuel pump is pumping the fuel at the right pressure. have pressure checked if need be. if not enough fuel a vehicle will run at idle, but stall under pressure.
