It will be under the car on the back side of the engine towards the passenger side. The other sensor that is closer to the transmission is the oil pressure switch.

1997 dodge stratus wont start has no spark and no trouble codes.

The automatic shutdown (ASD) relay will turn off power to the coil(s) and fuel injectors if the PCM is not receiving a signal from the crankshaft position sensor. You can check the ASD relay, but the problem is almost always a crankshaft position sensor or the wiring/connectors between the PCM and that sensor.

Need to find and replace crankshaft position sensor in 1997 dodge stratus

If you have a 2.0 or a 2.4L engine, it is located on the bottom backside of the motor that faces the cab area. You need to jack the car to get to it because of the low ground clearance of the car. I have a 1997 Stratus and replaced mine already.
