I tried to change the spark plugs in my 2001 ford P71...while i was removing the bracket which runs over top of them an orange colored fuel injector started spewing out gas now i have gas leaking out and CANT GET IT TO STOP! THE gas spews out even faster when i turn the car on??? I tried fastening the bracket tighter but nothings working the valve will not seal WHAT HAPPENED?

Try turning the injector to and frow , if that do not work , you haveto take out the injector rail and change toe seal there , if the seal is cheap , cahnge all .

the misfire could be the distrubiter cap also could be bad...tha cap is where the other ends of the spark plug wire go

Have you checked the relay to see if the pump is getting voltage ?
If the pump is running, did you change the filter ?
Have you checked for fuel pressure at the injectors ?
Are you getting spark to the plugs ?

Replace fuel injector on 2001 expedition
There is an o-ring where the injector connects to the fuel rail. Sounds like that is where your problem is, that or the bottom seal.

no ! Spark plugs are on the side of motor by exhaust manifolds tucked in to the cylinder heads. nothing is needed to be done on top of motor. on the coils follow plug wires down to the plugs and there they are. Are you sure you are not talking about the fuel injectors ? Yes there is rubber o rings on the injectors and you will have to remove fuel rails

If you do not see a distributor or spark plug wires, then you have a coil over plug system. Changing the coil pack is as easy as removing the hold down bolt and lifting the coil pack off the spark plug. Other things should be checked like signal to the coil, the fuel injector signal and the spark plug

Do you have spark at the number four cylinder? Check that if spark is present , then you should swap the injector from four to five and see if the miss goes with the injector. If not then you will need to test the engine compression .

remove the coil pack and look at bottom of it if it shows any cracks coil is bad very common on these vans if you have a noid light check for injector pulse on #4 if you have pulse and good blue spark most likely the injector is bad you have to remove upper plenum to get injectors out let me know how you make out
