Broken windshield washer wiper arm 2005 Saturn Vue

If you don't know electrics DON'T mess with them. This sadly won't be a 'fix it' problem, it's a 'replace it' problem. On most modern cars the steering column stalks are designed to easily break off as a crash safety feature. The whole assembly will need to be replaced.
Simplest start point here is to pull the relay for the wipers. The relay is in the fuse box under the hood. It is marked as "FRT WIPER" on the lid. It should be a square, black, plastic block in the bottom left corner. These are normally a tight fit but it should just pull up and out. It only works the wipers so your not hurting anything else when you do it.
Try this website for a diagram of the fuse and relay layout.

93 s10 Tahoe steering column tore up due to vechile being stolen have got back trying to start ignition has no key turns forward digital panel lights up no start do I replace whole column

You can replace just the lock cylinder, you have to remove the steering wheel and the lock plate to get to the retaining screw, see pics. I hope this helps. Take care.

I have a 2000 mitsubishi galant we switched the key ignition and whole steering wheel column and the car wont start, but will turn over, what do we need to do?

If the "new" steering column was from the same year and model car, then the problem may be that the electrical connectors are not making good contact. Disconnect the connectors and check to see if each end is clean and that no pins are bent or broken, If they check OK, then firmly re-connect them. Try to start the car. If the car still will not crank/run check the ignition fuse (maybe do this this as 1st step).
If the "new" column is from a different year or model, then the connectors may fit together, but the wiring may be different. If so proper contact will not be made through the connection.

Ignition switch would start but would not lock into position (RUN) and would shut off and then ignition completely locked down and will not move

The ignition key cylinder in a Buick unlocks the ignition and allows the Buick's engine to start. The cylinder contains a switch on the end of it (inside the cylinder) that sends an electric signal to the starter motor. When the ignition key cylinder fails, the Buick won't start. When this happens, you'll need a new ignition cylinder. Purchase replacement cylinders from Buick.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You'll Need:

  • Ignition key
  • Punch pin
  • Cross-point screwdriver
  1. 1 Remove the screws on the bottom of the steering column on your Buick. These screws hold the steering column cover on. You may need to tilt the steering wheel to its highest position to access these screws.
  2. 2 Turn the ignition key to the "II" position in the ignition cylinder.
  3. 3 Slide the punch pin into the access slot on the bottom of the ignition cylinder.
  4. 4 Push the pin all the way into the access slot while you pull the ignition cylinder out of the steering column.
  5. 5 Insert the new ignition cylinder into the steering column with the key in the "II" position on the cylinder.
  6. 6 Push the cylinder into the column until it "clicks," indicating that it is locked into the column.
  7. 7 Turn the ignition key to the "Off" position.

92 Jeep Cherokee Attempted Theft. The left side of the steering column is smashed. I start the vehicle now with a screwdriver. Can i get individual parts for inside the steering column?

yes,but it would be less costly and time saving to just replace the whole steering column from a salvage yard, but make sure it comes with keys.
