Brake lights not working...tail lamps work and signals fuse is good bulbs are good

Light bulbs require power and ground in order to work. The ground circuit for the left rear combination lamp is shared between the turn lamp, stop lamp and tail lamp. Because the tail light still works in that specific combination lamp, we know that the shared/common ground for that assembly is OK. The power circuit for both stop lamps (left and right) have the same origin; voltage flows from the STOP LP FUSE (15A) through the DBC RELAY (when the stop lamp switch is pressed) and then to each stop lamp via their respective circuit branches. Because the right stop lamp works, we know that the shared/common fuse, relay and switch are all OK. I'd suspect an open in the left stop lamp power supply branch and would recommending checking for voltage on the green & black wire at the left rear combination lamp assembly to confirm. Regarding the left lamp on the hatch, the wiring diagram indicates these are not stop lamps rather tail lamps only. I'd recommend installing a tail lamp bulb instead of a brake light bulb into that assembly as a first step. Brakes are generally not fused seperately. Have u check the bulb in the left side.

Turn signal tail lights and BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

It can be faulty brake light switch causing the problem or its blown brake light bulb. First check and confirm brake light lamp is working and that's not the case.

Fast flashing dash signals mean there is a bulb issue-DEFINATELY!

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. There is a fuse for them in the box. May be named tail lamp or back lamp. If the fuse and bulbs are good, it is probably your brake switch. It is located right above the brake pedal. It controls the brake lights coming on. It will need changed if the fuse and bulbs are good. Thanks for using FixYa.

Tail/Turn Signal Lamp Removal & Installation Cab/Chassis

To Remove:

1. Disconnect lamp assembly electrical connector.
2. Remove nuts and lamp assembly from bracket.
3. Remove lens screws.
4. Remove lens, gasket and bulb.

To Install:

1. Install lamp assembly and nuts to bracket.
2. Connect electrical connector.
3. Install bulb, gasket and lens.
4. Install lens screws.

Except Cab/Chassis

To Remove:

1. Lower endgate.
2. Remove 2 tail/turn signal lamp assembly retaining screws.
3. Rotate tail/turn signal lamp assembly and remove from vehicle.
4. Disconnect lamp assembly electrical connector.
5. Remove bulbs by pulling straight out of bases.

To Install:

1. Install bulbs by pushing straight into bases.
2. Connect electrical connector.
3. Install tail/turn signal lamp assembly to vehicle and secure with 2 screws.

Sounds like you need to replace the drivers brake/tail light.

I have taken my car to many shops to solve this problem. Long story short your tail light has a bad circut and entire lamp must be replaced. (Lamp cost approximate $130.00)

Tail light bulbs used are double element one is tail one is turn check your bulbs and, make sure the lamps for your turnsignal have two pins and, are a different number than your other lamps

Chk. fuse, there both on same curcit.
