Had our tranny rebuilt 10000 kms ago, now it is slipping between 2nd and 3rd with a bit of a clunk when it gets in gear. Took it to the tranny mechanic, and he has told my lady that we have a problem with our transfer case, some chain is wore out, I feel that he is wrong, we never used the 4 wheel drive, how could this be. Help Please!!

Even if you dont use the transfer case it need maintenance and limited usage to keep seals good and mechanical parts fliud. A person should run the 4x4 system from time to time. the mechanic may be right.

Poor Shifting

Well, if it was low on fluid, and it was driven for a distance, you could of wrecked the interior gears of the tranni or other parts. I'm not a tranni guy but I know if you run a vechile with low tranni fluid you're asking for a new tranni or to have that one rebuilt.
