Pressure sensors may be detecting a low refrigerant level and decoupling the compressor clutch.
Have your system pressure checked; this is not costly and if low can be quickly brought up to par again.

sounds like the fan may not be coming on,The electric fan should run whenever the air is on,if you start it cold,then open the hood the fan should be off,then turn on the air ,the fan should run a few seconds after that. If it doesn't come on,could be a faulty pressure sensor on the ac , bad relay or the fan itself.
You should call your local Acura Dealer. Some of these TL's had additional warranty coverage for similar transmission problems. I would first see if you car qualifies for any Manufacturer support.
If you do not have a sealed beam assembly, then remove the four screws on top...when the headlight assembly comes out unclip the harness from the bulb assembly. Pull the bulb out and replace...don't touch the halogen bulb with your fingers...just the plastic base.
check the fuse and the relays for the fan motors.if thats ok check to see if it is vacuum operated controls and that none of the pipes are off or split.
