My 2001 oldsmobile silhouette will not crank after car has been driven and engine is warm, once the engine has had time to cool down van will start and run just fine until you shut if off again. I have checked the starter and it tests fine, battery is near new with good cables, I changed the starter relay/solenoid and I'm still having the same problem. During winter months this problem never happens.
2002 olds silhouette...We had the same problem. check the cam
position sensor it is connected at the oil filler cap. The sensor may not be
problem it is the connector had moisture inside shorting out. i wired around
the connector
Does the temp gauge or light come on? is the car over heating? .... oh and a starter can test fine when its cold, but the heat soak from the engine and exhaust affect it's performance drastically. it sounds like you need a new starter.
