I have a 2005 ford f-250 diesel powerstroke the check engine light stays on what is going on

check all fluid levels including the radiator at the cap. Run the fault codes and find out what put the light on. It is there to advise you that continued running may result in serious engine/ transmission damage so check it out asap.

Ford 1999 4by4 7.3 power stroke diesel turn over but will not start

Hello
The Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

2002 f 250 SD 7.3 quad cab , adjustable throttle pedal . throttle position sensor may be causing acceleration to have dead spot at begining of throttle . Replaceing complete pedal and sensor assembly...

the only way would be with a scan tool. the tool would read the readings of the pedal sensor and also have you scanned the computer for any stoored codes, even if the check engine light is not on. another problem may be the throtlebody itself, the pedal sensor and the two throtlebody sensors all work together to accel, i would have it tested before buying it, its costly and i would hate to see you spend the money for a part you dont need, good day

My 2005 Dodge 2500 Diesel, the A/C seems to be blowing cold air then warm air and the LED for the rear view mirrors defrost is blinking off and on. What is wrong?

The blinking LED indicates that there is a fault in you A/C-heater control system.

The A/C-heater control communicates on the Programmable Communication Interface Multiplex System (PCI) Bus and is fully addressable with the DRBIII(R). [scan tool]

The A/C-heater control's primary means of fault detection is through active and stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Active DTCs are those which currently exist in the system. The condition causing the fault must be repaired in order to clear this type of DTC. Stored DTCs are those which occurred in the system since the A/C-heater control received the last clear diagnostic info message. DTCs must be read with the DRBIII(R).
Please note that SOME aftermarket scan tools also have the capability of accessing the A/C-heater control system.

The check engine icon is turned on. How do I retrieve 2006 gmc envoy fault codes without the expense of an analyzer tool?

A number of Auto parts stores offer "FREE" diagnostic scans in the hopes that you will buy their parts although most have a "no obligation" policy. Autozone .... Advance auto parts are a couple that offer free OBD II scans

2001 7.3 diesel rough idle w/ check the engine light on until it warms up and then it goes away. no codes showed when connected.

The only way to know for sure is to hook up a scan tool that can read live data, then you will know what is turning the light on.

It could be an injector fault or a glow plug circuit fault.
