Hello,I have a 1994 Dodge b250 van. The distributor has been moved, so I need to set it back to the correct timing mark. Does any body know what that is? I have been told that I can't, why not?

There is a mark on the crank for timing. If you have a timing light hook that up and take like white chalk and put it on that mark. now while the car is running take your timing light and point it at the crank u will see the light flash fast now the object is to get the light to be on the chalk mark so what u do is have another person move the distributor until this happens. Or u can cheat and just start your car and move it until the miss is gone then MAKE SURE YOU TIGHTEN YOUR DISTRIBUTOR!!!! hope this helps

1991 Dodge Dakota 3.9l Timing question

According to the book, you are supposed to mark the rotor on the distributor before removal and then put it back in place. If the crank has been moved, you align the mark on the crank damper with zero on the timing cover when the number one cylinder is at TDC. Then put the distributor in so that the rotor is pointing to the number one plug wire. It does not say anything about using a timing light.
You may want to check out a repair book in an auto parts store to get the details.

Feul pump does not come on when key is turned on onmy 1994 dodge b250 van with 3.9 l v-6

The fuel pump relay gets power from a 30amp fuse that also powers the ASD relay. I think the fuse is marked with the letter D.
You may have to check the 30amp fuses to see if any are blown.
You can also jumper the pump relay.

I have a 1994 dodge ram b250 conversion van with a 3.9 v6 and i had to put a timing chain and gears in and now i can get it to fire no spark all it does it whirl over and again no spark from dist. to coil...

check to make sure distributor electrical wires been reconnected to distributor.and check to make sure distributor is receiving 8 volts supply from the pcm.check see if orange wire going to distributor to pcm getting power. because spark plugs not firing could be pcm, coil itself bad or crankshaft sensor bad. i would code scan vechicle before buying new parts ignition.timing off if you did not have distributor in number 1 firing position before removing the timing chain.

2001 astro chevy van 4.3 engines need to set the timing

The distributor in that engine can only be installed in one position. The hold down is built onto the distributor meaning when it is installed and the engine runs the computer is responsible for the timing. The distributor will move a little but won't correct major timing errors.
