It is a Little Tough. If you are not Mechanically Inclined, This is better left to a Pro. There is a Preassure line in the System that could cause Injury if not removed Corrctly.

SOURCE: Steering on my 2004 Lincoln

Have to have alignment done after any
front end work

Most repair shops don't have that capability
That is why you don't go to them

Still same problem?

Then the whole rack & pump was a questionable
diagnosis & repair

Any thing else you can add

2000 lincoln ls i can stop my fan with my hand and it overheats in about 5 minutes, also my power steering is leaking

A new fan is needed. It's been turning for 16 years. Time to replace it. Same for the power steering. Depending on where the leak is, if from a hose, a clamp may need tightening. If from the pump, then it's time to replace.

How i kno if my power steering pump bad

If your power steering pump was bad, you would know all about it from a drivability standpoint. I am unsure exactly what is being asked, but inspect the fluid and physically inspect the power steering pump itself.

How to replace a cooling fan

dont know but 1 thing for sure i was told to replace the fan , so i had it replaced, turns out now the problem may be the power steering pump , ur fan isnt electrical it is a hydraulic ran fan, and is fead with power steering fluid and runs when power steering pump pumps fluid thru, or as simple as a heat sensor which im gonna replace both
1helpful
1answer

No Power Stearing, fluid is good, belts are fine. Small squeeking from pulley area.

Your power steering pump has probably failed and that is what the squeeking sound is. The power steering pump probably needs to be replaced.

IS THERE ONE OR TWO COOLING FANS IS THERE A RELAY

you have a hydraulic cooling fan which is run by power steering fluid, if it isnt working properly then either fan , power steering pump or heat sensor is damaged, the fan isnt electrical at all , not 100% sure about the heat sensor being seperate or being part of the power steering pump

Over heating after antifreeze was refilled after power steering pump replacement

There is a valve you open ,on a hose next to the brake booster,to vent air out of the coolant system.

What has the power steering issues have to do with this??
