To help further we need to know what make and model of vehicle you have also what radio you have, but usually after you replace the factory headunit in your vehicle with an aftermarket one ie. Gm -> alpine you will no longer need a code because the aftermarket head unit does not have a security system like the factory one
I had the same problem. LCD on Stereo can't be fixed and Volvo said it would be $1000 for a new unit.
Bought an aftermarket Alpine BT103 (includes bluetooth) for $219 on Crutchfield.com. They included a face plate free!
Install (including Ipod cable) was another $150.
You may get an airbag service light after the install.
Take it to the Volvo dealer and have it reset.
If the idle problem occurred after replacing the plugs, double check your work. Make sure you installed the coils correctly and that you didn't pinch the coil wiring under the top engine cover. I would also be wary of anything other than the OEM plugs. I've seen too many issues from using aftermarket plugs on these engines.
you need to bring it back to your dealor for advice because if you mess around wit it to much and break something they will end hyour warrenty for that part of your car.
the blub is blown behind the display and you would have to remove the radio to replace the blub if you have an autozone near you stop by and see what they can do also try these website to see if yoou can get pictures and diagrams showing you how to remove the radio www.autozone.com and www.alldatadiy.com
