Re: I have a 98 pontic grand am an te cooling fan rus all...
Ok relay
disconnects the hight and low speed and then connect one first and
another later and you'll realize that speed is connected. Check the A / C
fan pressure sw (left front of engine) and that if this gets connected
continue functioning fan

When running the engine TOUCH the bottom part of the radiator fins, if the temperature is not the same or cold, u got a blocked radiator FiNS, and u need to replace it!
Check also ur Radiator fan, note down what temperature it started to work.
If the Fan works at high temp, means ur TEMPERATURE SENSOR switch for rad fan is not working or it has a higher temp operating value!
Hope that might solve ur temperament!
j/k!
could be that you have a broken belt in one of your tires..this will bake a thumping as you drive, the faster you drive the more noticeable it is....check your tires...may need to replace one.
I am assuming you are meaning cooling fan. Your cooling fan is operated by your vehicle computer, via a coolant temp sensor. Not coolant temp sender!!! The sender goes to your light or gauge. The sensor goes to the PCM, which operates your cooling fan. The first thing to do is check your fan to see if it works. Unplug fan and wire two wires, one to one side of fan plug in, one to the other side of plug, one goes to positive battery terminal, one wire to negative. If fan comes on, you have a bad sensor or relay. If fan does not come on, replace fan.
Fan usually comes on within 200 degrees. Could be less. Usually the relay switch is under the engine from the front. get under the car and look for a silver switch right by where the electrical wires hook up with the fan.
