How do you take year brake rotors off - 2006 Jeep Liberty

rotors need replacement

What year is the vehicle .
The year is importent because of the metal the rotors are made of .
Not many stores will turn rotors at all anymore .
You can thank China a lot of them are chrome plated and this is supposed a federialey controlled speic no such luck Class ACTION SUITE

I have done brake work for 50 years & never had one problem

So whomever is doing your work isn't doing what is necessary

If all rust is removed from all mating surfaces,& all sliding surfaces
& anti-seize is applied to those areas, you won't have any problems

Silicone Brake Lube to the caliper pins

You have to machine the rotors properly & you have to use quality
pads-Raybestos or Wagner & their best,most expensive ones

Once a year min you start over & repeat the rust removal & lube
You only need to machine or replace rotors every 2 to 4 years

Brake Fluid-- HAS TO (MUST BE) Replaced/Flushed every 2 years

Parking Brake Cables can not be rusted inside & hung up

I'm 100% sure they never removed any rust,never lubed a thing,
& there is rust on the wheel bearing hubs,rotor faces,back of wheels
& even used an air gun to over tighten the wheels

That is what the butchers at all shops do

When a vehicle is built, it comes off the assy line bone dry
& the brakes rust on a the rail cars for 5 weeks getting to a dealer

Hi, i would chk your rotor on the wheel your hearing the noise from. Sounds like a brake pad has worn out and is chewing your rotor. That can cause all your issues. Hope that helps

Its possible. There is an equalizer valve that balances pressure to the 4 wheels.
Two other possible causes are a problem with the parking brake, or the front rotors and pads are glazed and not providing any friction.

Brake rotors absorb a tremendous amount of heat causing them to warp over time,,there are places who re-turn rotors using a metal lathe (where State Law Allows) turning of rotors cost from 10 to 20 dollars depending on stations,A good quality rotor made on composite metals usually lasts far longer than yours are apparently lasting

Good Evening, your problem is a normal wear and tear issue as that over time brake rotors can become slightly warped and the only time you feel it is when you step on your brakes. A normal rule of thumb on those systems is if you feel it in the steering wheel when you step on the brakes it is your front rotors, and if you feel it in your seat it is the rear rotors. Always change your brake pads at the same time you change your rotors to help the longevity of the brake pads. Glad to help.

I would say that you have a rotor issue. The rotor is the part onto which the brake pads press and apply braking force. You may have front wheel disk brakes or all wheel disk brakes. I would take the vehicle to a reputable brake specialist and have them check the rotors for wear and a condition called "run out". If the rotors are not worn past the manufacturers specs, you can have them machined which will bring them back to true and prevent the shakes. If the rotors are worn, then replace them as worn rotors can shatter causing total loss of braking and control which can be dangerous.. Do this as soon as you can...

must be the after market rotors not a normal problem and do not adjust park brakes to tight at all ,some rubbing noise is normal
