Hope this is what you were looking for. You can buy an adapter ("T") type to go inline with harness at back of vehicle area, that will allow you to plug right into it, if you check at trailer/RV place or bigger autoparts stores.
I take it, you don't want to go the easy route with adapter?
If you buy the "T" type adapter as I commented, It saves splicing any wires as well as can be removed at anytime as well. One other thing I forgot to mention is that if your turn signals are one lens,(say amber) and your brake lights are another (say red) then you will also need a wiring converter that separates those 2 before trailer hook-up. If I may, can I ask what your going to tow with the Ford Focus?

the above diagram is supposed to match your radio from the factory. The documentation with the new radio should provide the pins and plugs and what is on them. The correct plug or adapter should match up with the factory harness and work correctly.
