Transmission fluid is slowly leaking out of my 2006 Saturn Vue, how do I add more fluid? There is no dip stick or any place I can see to add more fluid.

Most newer vehicles transmission fluid cannt be topped up by the owner, most have a fill tube that can only be accessed by the dealership to minimize the chances of the customer putting in the wrong fluid.

If you have no leaks dont worry about it. Just get it serviced if its time. Alot of cars are this way now. You need to be under the car to drain and fill. My BMW is this way

How do I check transmission fluid level on 2008 Saturn Vue?

1. Switch off the car
2. Pop up the hood and raise it
3. Locate the transmission fluid cap
4. Remove the cap to add fluid
5. Check the owner's manual on what type of fluid your car requires and in what quantity. It is essential to use the right fluid and not anything off the shelf.
6. Remove the dipstick and start filling up the fluid slowly - you don't want to add too little or overfill.
7. Now put back the dipstick, switch on the vehicle and start shifting gears. Remove the dipstick and see the marking to know if you your car has the right amount of fluid
8. Put back the cap by turning it clockwise.

How do you put Transmission fluid in a 2004 6 cyl vue

First, you MUST verify if this has the CVT (continuously variable transmission) installed. If so, it requires special fluid along with anti-foam additive. Probably stocked only by the dealer. DO NOT add other transmission fluid to a CVT.

Changing the transmission fluid yourself

On the 2006 Saturn Vue FWD 2.2L there is both an oil plug and a transmission fluid plug. From under your car you will see closer to the middle a wide "L" shaped flat surface, that is for your transmission fluid. There is a plug/bolt on the side of it to drain it. It will drain very slowly so give yourself plenty of time and make sure you have a wide pan to collect because it doesnt stream out, it dribbles and drips all over.
For the oil look for a flat square closer to the front than the transmission fluid pan. You will see a large bolt towards the back on the side of the oil pan. This is where you drain your oil.
For Radiator fluid there is a plug on back side towards the bottom of the radiator itself. If you are unsure where your radiator is... you might want to leave all this to a professional.

2006 Saturn Vue Transmission Fluid Check

Here you go..

Be sure that transmission fluid temperature is at least 104° F (40° C). Models with 2.2L engine: To access check/fill plug: In the engine compartment, remove clamp from air hose behind cooling fan. Separate air tube from the hose and push the tube back towards the transaxle. Remove the clip holding the two power steering lines together. All Models: From underneath vehicle remove the transaxle check/fill plug with engine running. Fluid level should be even with hole. Add fluid as needed until fluid flows from hole. Replace check/fill plug and torque to 9 ft. lbs. (12 Nm).
