Does 2000 eng come out on top or bottom - 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse

If the journals look good and meet wear tolerances, it is an unnecessary expense to replace the crank.

Remove top front eng. strut and hook ratchet strap to top of eng and pull it forward, this rocks the eng. up and forward which gives you room to get alt. out of there. make sure it is hooked good cause you don't want it giving out when your hands are in there !

Is your eng get warm if you eng is not heating up it can be a thremaste stuck open if the eng is heating up ck the heater hoses if the top hose is hot and the bottom is cold the heater core is pluged if the two are hot and warm the blend door is not working

take the eng. and trans. out from the bottom remove the sub. frame bolts and lift the car leaving the eng. and trans. as a complete unit you dont want to try taking it out the top be helpfull if you had a lift

Bottom pulley lines up with zero mark top has a marker...

can you see if it is coming from the top or the back of the eng

huh bottom is easier, you can thru the top but youll end up breaking sendors, harness etc, its better to drop the bottom chassis with tires and tranny all togher an lift the front end and seperated it at bottom.

the 4th gear shift solenoid locks the gear into place
It is weak now so a replacement is needed
It is located inside the transmission and is easy to access it once the bottom pan is removed

Jim,I have taken out a dozen or more of these and the best way is to drop it out from the bottom.You need to lower the eng. and trans. out with the frt. cross member ,then pull the eng. and trans. off the cross member and seperate the two.If you need more info on the process,let me know .John.

jack up car there is a big nut at bottom or side of eng remove drain oil then replace look up the side of eng you will see round fillter marked oil filter remove then replace then fill oil on top of eng check level as you go
