MOST DO IT YOURSELF BOOKS EXPLAIN THE BRAKE PAD REMOVAL. WHEN THE CALIPER IS OFF THE ROTOR IS HELD ON BY TWO PHILLIPS SCREWS TO KEEP THINGS "TOGETHER" ON THE HUB. IT MAY ALSO BE TIGHT TO THE HUB, BUT IT WILL COME OFF.
ALWAYS REPLACE WITH NEW ROTORS SINCE MOST OF THE WORK IS DONE BY THE FRONT (DISK) BRAKES. SHOPS LIKE TO "TURN" OR RESURFACE ROTORS BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE MACHINE PAID FOR AND CAN CHARGE YOU THE PRICE OF NEW ROTORS AT A PARTS STORE FOR A LITTLE LABOR.

Testimonial: "I found that there were no screws to remove, however I did find that if you use the screw hole to screw in a 5/16-18 bolt the rotor pops right off"

Why my front brakes are overheating after I replaced/serviced the rear brakes pads ?

Coincidence. Check brake fluid and master cylinder. Check front calipers for failure, possible deployment and pressing the pads against rotors.

I want to remove the front break rotors from my '02 mazda mpv. I have the break callipers off, there is a large center nut on the hub. should this nut be removed to get the rotors off? or does the rotor...

Dont take the nut loose, the rotor should come off. If not it may be rusted to the hub. You may need to pry it off, I would not pound on it with a hammer unless you are going to replace the rotor anyhow.

Will rotors from 03 Mazda MVP fit on a 03 Mazda Protege

That's a good question. Ask the parts store to look up the part for both vehicles, and see if the part # is the same.

Good luck to you.

Romove the front hubs on Mazda MPV 2004

Righty tighty, lefty loosey. It is a tough nut to get loode. Should not need to remove it for the rotors, but it has been a long time since I have done one.

Car jumping when brake is applied

I'm pretty sure that your front rotors are warped. Is tis problem only happening when you apply the brakes? If it is, replace the front pads and get new rotors. Be sure when you install the front tires back on, torque the wheels to 90 lbs.
