My info for engine oil and filter change, 4.5 quarts. You could put in about 4 quarts, start the engine let oil circulate, kill the engine, let the oil settle for a bit, check oil level on dipstick. Add oil to the full mark on dipstick, hopefully the dipstick is correct. I looked at info on chevy Corsica.
The only way to know for sure is to remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the oil. Then refill the engine with the correct amount of oil. Then see what the dipstick reads. You might want to invest in the right dipstick tube and stick as one to short will cause you to overfill the engine and one to long will cause you to short the engine on oil and burn it up.
The oil dipstick is just about in the center of the engine compartment and is yellow.
The transmission dipstick is close to the firewall near the center of the engine compartment and is red.
I would look for other leaks. If you are sure it's leaking at the dipstick tube, there is normally an o-ring where the tube presses into the engine. In general, this is an odd place for a leak, as ther eshould be no oil pressure in the pan (where the tube terminates) and unless the engine is overfilled with oil, the tube end shouldn't be immersed in oil to leak. IF there is pressure in the oil pan, that generally indicates bad rings. I have seen engines where the oil dipstick actually pops out of the tube under pressure when the engine is running due to pressure in the oil pan from blow-by at the rings.
OIL LEVEL CHECK
Every time you stop for fuel, check the engine oil as follows:
Park the vehicle on level ground.
When checking the oil level it is best for the engine to be at operating temperature, although checking the oil immediately after a stopping will lead to a false reading. Wait a few minutes after turning off the engine to allow the oil to drain back into the crankcase.
Open the hood and inspect the level of the engine oil tank. The fluid level on the tank should read between FULL or F and LOW or L.
If the level is below the LOW or L line, remove the cap and add enough engine oil to reach the FULL or F line.

Install the oil cap and hand tighten.
After filling the oil tank, remove the engine access hole cover on the drivers side.

Remove the engine oil dipstick and wipe it clean.
Reinsert the dipstick, push it in as far as it will go, the pull it out and look at the level on the end.
If necessary, insert more oil through the oil filler cap next to the dipstick, this will completely top off the system.

Do you live somewhat out in the middle of nowhere?A salvage yard should have plenty of dipsticks for your engine size as it would seem that it is not highly looked for and would only go with the engine if someone bought the whole engine. If there is not one close enough, try finding ones a little farther out.Just let them know the engine size and I amsure they would ship it for a few extra $.Hopefully not more than $5.Good luck! ENGINE OIL INSPECTION
1. Position the vehicle on level ground.
2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and stop it.
3. Wait for 5 minutes.
4. Remove the dipstick and inspect for oil level and condition. Verify that the oil level is within the F and L marks on the dipstick.
o Add or replace oil if necessary.
5. Verify that the dipstick O-ring is installed as shown, then reinstall the dipstick.
A replacement dipstick can be purchased at your local dealer. I suggest you get the right one and not try to fabricate a make shift one for something as critical as you engine oil level.
