2002 mazda protege, recently had a/c hose replaced. Now when I run the a/c it makes my car surge

timing might have adjusted before the belt replacement,so happens. please check the valve and distributor timing once again and in accordance with the new timing belt.your problem will be solved.

run the fault codes
put a couple of cans of quality injector cleaner in the tank as it is a possible dirty injector problem or low fuel pressure problem

I had this problem. Check your hose that goes from your filter to your intake manifold. Make sure your connections are tight and there are no cracks. Mine had a crack and was easy to replace. Hope this helps

It's not a fuse, your park lamps/tail lamps front and rear all get voltage from the same source. In the diagram, top wire is voltage bottom wire is ground. May be a problem with wiring circuit, either voltage or ground. Did you try pushing on the bulb to see if it would lite up, if it does, something wrong with bulb socket.

The idle on my 2003 Mazda Protege started acting strange one day - it kinda surged forward a little bit. Then the RPM would drop and kept wanting to stall out. It stalled out at a stop sign. The check engine light came on. I drove it immediately to my Goodyear mechanic. It ended up being the Idle Air Control Valve. They had to order the part from Mazda which took 3 days to get there. The whole thing cost $700. Runs great now (again).
